Looks like a weak tournament. What is going on with baseball tournaments?

This used to be a fairly strong tourney back in the day. (montgomery/channelview/bush to name a few) It got to be where EC couldnt win games in their own tourney so they had to drop the level of comp about 2 divisions. As for tournaments in general, it seems to be the haves and the have nots. The 6as and 5as play in big tournaments where they can get 5 or 6 games in a weekend. The smaller and or weaker schools flock to the 3 game tourneys because they dont have pitching. Its only going to get worse next year when the pitch count comes into effect. Assembling a good tournament field takes time/effort/work. Many of the 4a and under coaches dont want to put that much into it, spring is offseason football time! You want to see a good tourney, go watch one of the big 6a tourneys with 15 or so teams where there is no championship bracket, they just match up and play games. Lastly, the UIL has made it to where if you are in a district bigger than 8 teams (doesnt affect 4as and under much) you are limited to 2 tournaments at most. Couple years back they reduced maximum games to 3 tourneys and 14 games or 2 tourneys and 17 games due to high gas prices and reduced economy.

It's on the loop outside of town past the Bowling Alley and movie theater-Called Legacy Fields-Softball field is there next to it
