Amazing transformation from my days on Bulldog field. My junior year the yoakum track was asphalt, worse track in the district, while Cuero had cinder. The following year after coach Yeager threatened to quit, yoakum put in the first all weather rubberized track. Yoakum went from worse to first and everybody was envious.Glad to see the bulldogs getting some nice turf.

Yes, but it is the prettiest most awesome grass field in Texas. Not many schools have a putting green for a football field.

Don't feel bad, Port Isabel still doesn't have turf and it doesn't have plans to change that anytime soon, if ever.

If it wasn't for "The Robin Hood" plan, PI would have some damn good facilities.

If I'm correct,Hondo Owls will play Yoakum the 1st game of non-district this year in Yoakum.........Hondo just finished replacing it's 10 year turf yesterday and the new turf looks a lot better then the previous one...
