I don't think it is going to be very pretty for Ingleside the next couple of years. In a rebuilding stage, trying to find a new coach and getting in this district is going to make things very ugly.

Apparently Port Isabel has a Week 2 game opening. I haven't heard if it's been filled yet or not.

Cuero non-district schedule: Houston KIPP Generation, Yoakum, Floresville, Gonzales, Columbus. According to @mikeforman21 on TwitterGlad they kept Yoakum, Gonzales, and Columbus on the schedule. Good rivalries. Know nothing about Houston Kipp and have not Played Floresville since the 1987 regional Championship.

Which Houston KIPP? Houston Scarborough got their first win since 2007 over Houston KIPP Sunnyside last season if that says anything. I know there are several KIPP schools though in Houston.

Ah, nevermind I see it's Houston KIPP Generations. They went 3-8 playing only private schools last year. Should not be a test for you at all.

This game doesn't really make much sense for Cuero with long drives for district. I also figured Cuero would have a tougher schedule.

If any of y'all can get some feelers out there, I confirmed with one of Port Isabel's assistant coaches earlier this afternoon that they are looking for a Week 2 opponent. The team that they had been playing in Week 2 was put into a 9-team district and could no longer accommodate.

Sinton FB schedule-(non district) Rio Hondo, Rockport Fulton, Orange Grove, Beeville, Robstown. (District) Aransas Pass, Wharton, Cuero, Sweeny and Ingleside

Some good teams in non district but nothing with the speed Sinton will see when district rolls around. Orange Grove back on the schedule but not sure what they bring back.

I heard there were 2 finalists for the job. One name I was told is Chris Soza. Any idea who the other is?

Haven't heard a word. I will make some phone calls tonight to see if I can find out anything.

School board member told me that Soza is not a candidate for the job. Said they thought he was going to take a position at Medina Valley.

Yeah, Soza got the Medina Valley job sometime late last week. Glad he was able to land back on his feet after what he went through at Alice.
