It already goes on with "transfers" to the big power schools within Texas. Could this be sign of the future? It's a $100k a year to go to high school there.

Unfortunately it will probably increase once other companies and people realize there is money to be made off of offering kids the type of exposure these academies can. It was only a matter of time for this to catch up with football. It's gone on with basketball for a very long time. Check out the companies that sponsor IMG sometime.

I have no power and it's only my opinion but public schools in Texas should refuse to play academies like this.

Don't confuse this with me thinking public schools and privates shouldn't play....that is different- most private schools exist for academics and have a lot more students attending for academics than athletics . IMG and academies like them exist for the sole purpose of athletics.

I saw them play this past season on ESPN. Every kid was a "Insert your favorite school" commit. One of my oldest son's (now coaching at University of Virginia) S&C coaches at UNT was a "speed" coach at IMG. They are a 'school' in name only.
