I've had a radio station (Mike's Texas Polkas" on Live 365.com for almost 14 years.
The company because of copyright rules and a lack of fund backing will go off the internet effective Jan 31.
I started this station back of June of 2012 and have listeners from all over the world. It's a hobby that was free of charge for several years before they started charging $25 a month for an Independent broadcaster. Besides playing polkas and waltzes, I included some tejano and cajun music in my vast playlist library over 500 songs.
I will miss meeting people at festivals and dances and giving out flyers, koozies, caps and tee-shirts.
