Yea it's early lol oh well but ready to see how Sinton will be like after Coach K era. Coach Adrian Alaniz takes over and looking forward to him keeping the Sinton baseball tradition going and maybe start off with a great season in his first year :)

Sinton was young and inexperience last season and had to make a late push to just get in the playoffs as the 4th seed. Sinton finish the season on a 10-4 run with losses coming in the playoffs each by 1 run to Zapata 5-4 in Rd 1, Robstown 2-1 in Rd 3 and El Campo 1-0 and 5-4 in Rd 4.

Sinton returns some good pitching only losing 1 of their starting pitchers. Think they return 12-13 players from last year playoff squad.

Last season team struggle offensively, this year team could be much better offensively to go along with the pitching and defense.

Last year top 4 teams
1. Robstown
2. Rockport Fulton
3. Orange Grove
4. Sinton

Sinton had to leap frog Kingsville, Ingleside and West Oso to get the 4th spot.

Robstown and Ingleside return their top pitchers and not quite sure on the rest.

District 31-4a teams
Ingleside Mustangs
Corpus Christi West Oso Bears
Beeville Jones Trojans
Orange Grove Bulldogs
Robstown Cotton Pickers
Sinton Pirates
Rockport-Fulton Pirates
Kingsville King Brahmas

I have heard that Ingleside could be pretty fiesty this year. I just wish they would play a tougher pre-district schedule so they would know where they really stand at district time.

Not sure what the Rockets (District 17AAAA) will do this year......lost some seniors and starting 3rd baseman moved out.

They'll have a least 2 pretty good pitchers.

We will see in a few months.

Thanks for bringing up baseball, there probably won't be much other to talk about with regard to the Rockets except baseball and of course softball which ought to be rock solid with a strong freshman class.

Didn't lose a starter from last year. Only one Senior this year. All the rest are Juniors and Sophomores from last years team. Plus the frieshman class is loaded. Should be very interesting.

Can't wait for Baseball/Softball season to start.

Me too!....my lefty soph has been working so hard to get ready....he's excited.....just got him a new bat today....he chose the Rawlings Velo over the Louisville Slugger 716...both bats run $299....man, baseball can get expensive!......it was interesting to swing both bats...both were 33 length/30 ounce.....the Rawlings felt more balanced and lighter....the Slugger bat felt more end loaded and heavier....the reviews I've read from both bats have been very good.......we'll see what happens.....

District 31-4a Has Robstown and Sinton up there but the other teams in district will be pretty good also should be some great games again in district play.

District opener Sinton at Robstown should be another good one like last season opener that Robstown won in extra innings as they rallied in last inning to tie it and win it in extras in Sinton.

District starts tonight hopefully if the field is ok.

Sinton (7-3-1) at Robstown (7-3) 7 pm tonight

Sinton still a young team but with a bit more experience than last season, Robstown loaded with experience from last year district champion squad. Should be a good start to district between these two baseball towns.

31-4A is gonna be a very interesting district like most years. It is arguably one of the toughest in the State. Robstown looks to be the front runner once again with Jessie Ray back on the mound. An all-stater last year if I am correct. They can always hit the ball well and generate some offense. Sinton returns a lot of players from a deep playoff run. Jordan Martinez and Mason Hopkins on the mound will be a really nice 1-2 punch. They could possibly have the best pitching in the district. CJ Zepeda and Mark Villarreal return for the pirates as well, 3 and 4 year starters. Rockport looks to have lost many seniors, but i believe they have their best pitcher back from a year ago. Orange Grove also has one of their best pitchers back and from looking at scores from pre-district and tourneys they should be a contender. Beeville looks to be playing some good bsaseball as well. They beat Hidalgo in the Myra's tourney, have beaten banquette twice (ranked in 3A) and had a close one with Bishop (also ranked in 3A). They have a pitcher move in from Belton who looks to be a good one. They could sneak up on some people. Kingsville beat Robstown in the Myra's tourney from what I have seen. They were a young group last year. In all I think District play will be very competitive as usual. The District title is up for grabs!!

Please anyone correct any of the information I have if you know first hand! Just from Gamechanger, twitter, and newspaper!! And I know i just rambled on lol

Thanks SintonFan! Looks like i was pretty accurate on most. From the way it looks now Robstown will be the district winner. Sinton finally showed up to play the cotton pickers and beat them in a close one. What seems to be Sinton's problems Sintonfan? they not hitting the ball well during district? OG- Beeville, Sinton and Kingsville are all in contention for those 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots for playoffs. Things should get interesting.

I think this is wrong. I heard the Lights went out in the 4th inning.. Should not have to start the game over. This is a huge game for district seeding. They need to just pick up from where the game left off. Especially with a kid throwing a no hitter and being up 2-0.
