Cameron continues to win in the playoffs with 21 straight playoff victories. The have met all challengers and challenges this season. Their lone loss (43-41) to 4A Region IV Finalist China Spring. This game also reflects Cameron in the playoffs. China Spring was 15 points up on the Yoemen early in the 4th Qtr and Cameron came back to take the lead with 3:30 left in the 4th. They came back from being down double digits to beat Malakoff (25) and Teague (14). They are team with a mission: win 4 straight State Championships.

Brock has never been here. They didn't even exist when Cameron went to its first game of its recent run of State Championship games. This team has destroyed every team that it has played this year. They AVERAGE 60 points per game while giving up 8 points per game (5 shut outs, most points scored against themwas Mineola - 21).

Who you got?

Normally I'd go with the Yoemen, but this Brock team has looked very impressive. Gonna take Brock 35-28
Scary thing about Brock is that they have very few seniors, meaning they should be even better next year.

I know Brock has been excellent in other sports . I see they just started Football Program. I have a couple of questions from those in that area. Why did they not have a Football Program before 2012 and then how in the world have they get so good so quick in there Football Program. This is amazing to me because they started with kids in there own program start from scratch and are a very powerful team . Now will be playing a 3 time SC with a great football Tradition for a State Title. Wow what a tribute to those kids and that community.

Used to be a very small town off I-20 on the westside of Weatherford. It so happens to be right smack dab in the heart of Barnett Shale. Gas wells everywhere. That is all I know about them.

I called their first ever playoff game last year at Granbury when they went 12 and 2 losing to Shallowater by 1 point (22-21) in the Quarter Finals

Brock has always had athletes but the old folks of the area did not want football. Then new blood got in charge and did. In comes Chad Worrell. Former DC at Celina and head coach at Tom Bean. Installs Football and does it the right way.

This is why Weatherford will never be good in athletics. All the athletes go to Brock or Aledo. Brock by 3.

With Brock, they have shown the ability to stop the run. All the teams that played in region I were heavy run, with average to below average passing games. Mineola was a little better through the air, but their bread and butter was the QB/RB on the ground.

Not saying that Brock cannot not stop it, but the Yoemen are going to throw it all over the field. I also believe Cameron is more well equipped to stop the run versus last year, and that is very important in this game. Just way more experience up front. Brock has been able to overwhelm or wear down most of their opponents offensively. The Eagles do not have tremendous size, but they play as a team and everyone does their job well. They do have some quick shift backs, but we have seen a lot of speed like that before (Tatum 2010, Newton 2012, Teague 2015), and have done a decent job in each of those games. We will need to force Brock into more predictable passing situations.

Prediction: Yoemen by 14.

Yea, they haven't seen anything like Cameron's receivers. Very few schools have those types.

I'll be interested in seeing how this game turns out. Yoe is very lethal on offense while Brock is very brutal on defense. Both have been steller though out the season. A dream State Championship match up for any HS football fan.

I love what Brock has done so far this year, the Wall game could have been closer if their Qb did not get injured! I think Cameron Yoe has just too much experience in this game especially since this is their RBs 3rd State Title game!

Yes, but losing such a key player during the game with a gruesome injury is a tough tough thing for a team to overcome. I'm not taking anything at all away from Brock. I was rooting for them, but after that horrific injury I was hoping to see Yoe pull it out.

Great game. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to an extremely talented young man.

Because losing a center or two is caparable to losing a star RB who already had close to 150 yards rushing
wish three minutes left in the first half? Yeah right

In real time it didn't look right. Then fox warned the viewing audience before showing it again in slo mo.
That was as many times as I wanted to watch it.

What was tragic is they had just interviewed his mother who was in the stands with a large group
of his family. After the injury and with the crowd dead silent you could hear the kid screaming out
and writhing in pain while the Fox cameras were panning into the stands to get his family's reaction.

REALLY? You really think that if Brock lost its two 2,000 yard rushers for half the game that they would have had a snowballs chance?

Lets just say if #24 had not gotten hurt it would not have even been close. Brock knows it as does anyone that saw that game.

Congrats to Brock on the state championship. At the end of the day, they won the game and that is that.

Unfortunate way for Traion to end his career in Cameron. Had 134 yards on 15 carries in the first half before the injury. Still goes out as the leading rusher all-time in Central Texas, which is quite an accomplishment.

In the second half, the Yoe rushing game was not the same (for obvious reasons) and Brock just wore down the Yoe defense, something no other team has really been able to do.
