Region IV Division 1 districts. What do you think?

What will the 2016-2018 region 4 division 1 districts look like next year? I am a Somerset Bulldog fan and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I saw Padilla polls prediction and I don't think that will happen. Tell me what you think.

Thanks SintonFan Good to be back. I just saw Division 1 and of course I only payed attention to where we were. It was Somerset, East side Memorial (thought they didn't play uil football anymore), Leander Glenn, Liberty Hill, Bandera, Fredricksburg, Canyon Lake, Boerne. 8 team district in 4a Div 1 would be unheard of. But that is what district Padilla had us in. I will look up the prediction of Division 2. I guess if Glenn opts up to 5A and Eastside doesn't play football that might make sense. But, I am not sure that is why I am asking everyone. I will see if I can get the rest of them.

Your right Panfan Bandera is Div 2. Rabid Cougar I think the Waco schools still will be in the Region 4. The shortage of valley teams almost makes them a absolute for Region 4. They could move the Houston teams (El Campo, Needville, Stafford, etc) into region 4 and that would take the Waco teams out you could be right about that. Those Houston area schools have been in Region 4 before.

Agree with LV_Bearfan about replacing Gonzales in D15. Somerset definitely closer to LaVernia and Pleasanton than even Gonzales. I think Robstown could go south. Been a long time, but played there prior to 1966.

I think we will replace Gonzales as well. Just never know with the UIL. It will be fun to play La Vernia and Pleasanton again. It will be nice to have at least 50% of our games within 45 min. That would be a big change from the last two years in 5A. Driving 2hrs to Laredo and Eagle Pass was not fun.

Coach Jones from Burnet was glad to have LH back on the schedule but added District 13 will be like playing the SEC of 4A.
