Big Wharton County rivals East Bernard and Boling battlefor the Region IV championship in Class 3A Division II at Mercer Stadium in Sugar Land.
Brahmas won the first time in district by 40 points They are one of the best defensive teams in 3A with big and quick lineman and on both sides of the ball. They have 4 backs who can take it to the house.
The Bulldogs are a surprise team having beat Odem 28-20 on Friday which was a big upset.
I think this time the Bulldogs will play the Brahmas closer with higher stakes on the line

A lot of folks were hoping to but EB won the toss and wanted to play at Mercer. Boling wanted to play at Traylor Stadium in Rosenberg.

Yes. They had only 5 Srs last yr and 27 Srs this yr. Yoakum played them last 2 yrs and EB kept the ball about 70 percent of time. Needless to say they beat Yoakum both yrs. There line play on both sides of ball is the caliber of Sinton, Cuero, and Navarro.

This will be a huge rivalry game (Yet Friendly) as the population of both towns interact in county functions. The Brahmas defense will make the difference in the game

Lot of hype built up for this game during the week. EB should win but it will be closer than when they played in district in October.
