I have to say, like my assessment from HUDL before LH played LV and after watching, LV is very talented but very sloppy. If CS capitalizes on this they will get the win the second time around, but easier said than done. Should be a good game.

LV offense was sloppy against LH but hill not able to capitalize. LH never got to the red zone. Both sides played very good defense. China Spring just got by Gatesville. Gate has came on strong. La Vega and China Spring will be a great game. pulling for CS.

Truly the Haves vs the Have Nots!! The Haves being the Pirates with all those D1 offers. What is lil ole China Spring to do? Great group of hard working kids on both teams. Either way District 13 will be well represented!! China by 12!

China Spring just got by Gatesville. Gate has came on strong.

Well that isn't true. They just didn't get by. China Spring played with one hand tied behind their back. Not one deep ball the whole game. I counted maybe three passes total. Just like they have done to all their opponents, the first LaVega game being the exception, they tore Gatesville apart with the passing game their first meeting.

As I said before, wind won't be a factor Thursday night.

From what I'm hearing about China Spring, they are a much more polished team with good athletes. All those juniors and sophomores we played last year are a year older and better. Having played La Vega, despite their talent, I agree with Factory, they are sloppy in their execution. You can't put the ball on the ground as many times as they do and expect to keep winning in the later rounds of the playoffs. QB could throw, but he often just lobbed it up and their tall receivers jumped up and got it. While we didn't have the height, I expect CS does from what I recall from last year. LV offense can be shut down, we showed it except when they only had 2 yards and four downs to punch it in in OT. I think CS takes this by 2 scores.

Lordy was that ugly.. 7 turnovers, 1 CS player ejected, tons of penalties. Tough way to end the season but very proud of the year they've had and will be very good next year.

A lot of those ints looked like Coe trying to just throw it up and make something happen, but even with that he wasn't giving the receivers much of a chance on those. CS found out early on they couldn't pop Dudik free and that's where he really shines with his speed. That left the passing game. La Vega secondary wasn't giving up the deep ball and Coe did find some success in the second half with the 7 - 10 yd routes on the outside, but little to be had after the catch. With all the offensive penalties, CS found themselves in the hole multiple times running out of downs with long yards to the line to gain. That's when the drives would fall apart and with Coe getting pressured would just chunk the ball up. CS needed to play a mistake free game to get past these guys, and that just didn't happen. La Vega looked good and they're athleticism just didn't leave many opportunities. Some were there, but the penalties and turnovers sealed the Coogs fate.
