Lady Eagles headed to State in Volleyball

The Argyle Lady Eagles(40-7) swept the Spring Hill Lady Panthers(39-5) at the Region 2 Final this weekend to advance for the 3rd time in 4 years. Last year's team came up short in the final to Decatur. I believe Argyle is currently ranked #2 in the AP poll, and have been for quite a few weeks. MaxPreps has them ranked #1 in the 4A division. The Lady Eagles have swept every match so far in the playoffs, and their only losses this season have come against larger classification schools.
At the State Tournament this week, Argyle will meet Robinson(45-5) in the first semifinal match. Tipoff begins at 6 pm. Thurs. November 19.
In the second semifinal immediately following the first match, Bushland(39-6) will meet Columbus(41-8).
The final will be played on Saturday November 21 @ 1:30 pm. Good luck to all these fine teams. GO EAGLES!!!

From what I understand, Bushland has been the Top-ranked team in Class 4A most of the season. I could be mistaken, but it seems I read that a couple of weeks ago. They may be the favorite coming in to this tournament.
