A rematch of last years thriller, going to be an exciting game and awesome atmosphere. Don't let Graham's record fool you, they will bring it! If Decatur wins, they take 1st place in District, if Graham wins, then there is a three way tie for first. I will not make a prediction. I do think it will be a dog fight, Graham def wants to prove that they are better than their record indicates. Hope the weather is good for this one!

For those that don't know this game is in Decatur and it will be on their grass field. Rain chances on Thursday and possibly Friday, could affect the game tremendously

That field looks likes it holds up in rain pretty good..

Not going to make a prediction, but the last thing Region 1 needs, is for Graham to get Hot.....

Yeah.....if Graham gets hot, that throws a wrench into the whole Region 1 playoff setup. Things could get mighty dicey over there. Same goes for Decatur too, though. They could start throwing up them points and you'll have to outscore them to win.

Graham is getting some much needed help back on the D this week we will see how big a difference it makes.

A couple cornerbacks?

I've said it all season long, if you are going to beat Graham you are going to have to be able to pass the ball. Graham's run D has really came along, their pass D on the other hand.....

Think this one is going to be a lot like MW-Graham---too close to call with either team having a chance for the win. If Graham gets enough players back, then they should have a slight edge---but if the Eagles play the kind of inspired, solid football like they did for the Bulls, then I think Decatur has the edge.

Well, Decatur struck first. Two time defending State Champion Decatur volleyball team knocks out Graham in three. Kinda fun to play Graham in volleyball and football in the same week!

I was saying state title, but really have no clue. All I know is that they are a very stout team!

To be honest, I think Bushland is the team to beat this year with Argyle a close second. Decatur is good but they graduated 4 All State players off of last years team. I think we will be watching this years state tourney from home this year.

I know Decatur's 8th grade and Freshmen team won, not sure about 7th grade and JV.

7th A lost
7th B won
I haven't heard if JV won or not.
I have heard conflicting stories on Decatur RB. I heard he was good to go and I heard he was going to be held out until playoffs. Not sure which story is true ?

I hope that he is healthy.. but I would totally get holding him out till the playoffs if there is any questions at all about that ankle. ...

Decatur's running back is healthy; could've played last two games. I would count on him to be on the field. The sophomore who has been filling in is pretty good himself. Either way, the game means a lot to the Eagles; last year's loss is still fresh.

Better question is what defense the Steers will run. I've seen them twice and seen two different Ds.

Good win Decatur. Ironic how Decatur wins on some questionable calls this year and Graham wins on some questionable calls last year.

Questionable? The kid was several yards past the LOS when he threw the ball! Then on Graham's previous possession AFTER the first down there was two dead ball off setting personal fouls. The refs put the ball back to the previous spot. Graham fought damn hard, it's a shame those kids got robbed like that. It was like that all game, but the last 6 mins of the game was ridiculous.

Decatur was just as speechless last year...up 14 with a minute left and loose the game, that's pretty speechless.

Was this the first game Graham has play on a grass field? I think Decatur's grass playing surface is one of the nicest around.

Agreed, that stadium has a nice "throw back" feel to it...from the twangy, humor on PA to the old guy running the down box...lots of memories good and bad from Eagle stadium...thanks for hosting another entertaining Friday night.

Vernon has gone turf and Burkburnett will next year...those are the only grass fields that we play regularly

The bad calls did not all go in favor of the Eagles.

Two obvious pass interference no-calls in a row killed an Eagles drive. There was holding all night on that Steers sweep.

And, let me say that the head coach's rant and penalty did more to sink the Steer's ship than the missed call.

Agreed, way too many plays made and not made for a few calls to be the difference. Graham just hasn't found a way to finish the close games this year. Congrats to the Eagles District 4 champs.

Go look at the Graham thread. There is a clear picture of the Decatur QB throwing the pass behind the line of scrimmage. A Graham poster provided the pic, pretty classy on his part.
