D15 vs D16 D2 new matchups in those projections with except Orange Grove vs Ingleside. That could get interesting OG vs Ingleside as last season playoff matchup was the game Hondo Harris was knock out of the game and playoffs

LG vs Wharton.. A interesting matchup. But if LG beats Giddings that matchup doesn't happen.. A lot of football left to be played

If Wharton and La Grange play I wonder where the game would be at?

Somewhere in the Houston area would make sense.....the only issue is that a lot of 6A stadiums will be booked because 6A teams who are higher seeds have home field advantage

Pleasant Grove's got Gladewater at home tomorrow night (they moved it up a day because of the weather forecast).

I think there's a good chance the Hawks will win that game.

So it may be Gladewater who is Gilmer's bi-district opponent.

In Division 1, Region 2 you better watch out for Kaufman. This team will surprise a lot of opponents. Offense, defense and special teams are solid. I was impressed when they played Kennedale.

Add Kaufman to a long list of really good teams in region 2. Should make for a very exciting Playoff season.

You have Kashmere and Columbus in the wrong districts. They should be switched otherwise Region III D2 is exactly how I predicted in another post. Three more weeks for lots to happen though.

Taylor beat Boerne who beat Fred and last game of season is Taylor vs Fred. If Fred wins could be three way tie. How are tie breakers determined.
If Burnet can upset La Vega that would cause a Three way tie - scramble this projection all up.

If all the favorites win their area games then LH would have to beat La Vega for that to happen.........hmmm, box of chocolates that one is

Not quite sure what you're asking but they divided 4A in to two divisions of 16 districts each so 4 teams per district make the playoffs in each division to fill a 64 team bracket, meaning 16 out of 19 total Region 3 teams make the playoffs in Division 2

My guess either Victoria Memorial or Sealy.

So in La Grange district, all playoff teams will be in Division II. I thought the highest enrollment team went Division 1, has that changed or am I missing something.

That changed. Have you been away a while? 4A-1A is split into Division I and II based on enrollment. The split-division system went into effect last year for 4A (old 3A). There are 16 districts in each division now, instead of 32 districts. Top four teams from each district go into the postseason.

Yes been away from HS games since 2012, see you can teach an old dog new tricks. It's all about College football now, such BS nowadays with 4 teams making the playoffs. Getting more and more like little league , everybody gets a trophy now days. Lol.

Freaking crazy, there should not be more then two teams making the playoffs from each District. Also, One stinking Champion just like other HS sports.

4A-DII is ridiculously non-competitive for the top programs with this recent split division system (i.e. the two 16 team districts). UIL needs to shrink 5A school nos. and add some to 4A ranks (supposedly they never shrink 6A). And, get rid of the split divisions. Ugh!!!
