Someone dug a hole on the 50yard line . From what i hear it was a pretty big one.They are trying to fix it as i post.They have a home game tonight.

What usually happens to us at Raymondville is that some Lyford players come and spray paint a big "LB" on our field before a home game. So we are left with a big black spot on the field from the maint. people trying to cover it up...but you can still se the LB.

I think a hole in the middle of the field is silly, but the potential is there for this to be a very funny prank! As long as they get the hole filled before the game, then no one gets hurt, no harm done.

Someone here in Bellville told me it was a message about their head coach at Rice and what to do with him.

That is a shame. I pray that nobody gets hurt, too, it is going to be slippery enough, without the area be soft. Good Luck!

I can't imagine Needville saying the Rice would not make it past the 50 yard line. My prediction is that the Rice RB wears out a trench from one end of the field to the other due to all his running up and down the field. Roll on Rice!

I really hate to hear of anything like this happening. No, this is not funny. One of the first things to keep in mind is to not jump to conclusions about who may have done this. You know what they say about "assuming", it only makes an a$$ out of u. It does nobody any good to point fingers. What you said about covering it with Tiger skins next week came through loud and clear. I hope things were taken care of properly and your game went off without a hitch and whoever did do this is caught.

The Raiders took care of business and yes we did get past the 50 yard line several times.

Well it wasn't a hole. It was just a message that was dug into the ground. But it was covered up very nicely. And was ready by game time. and yes we did role over the 50 yard line a few, wait a BUNCH of times! G'Luck Rice against Wharton!
