This should be a high scoring game. Yoakum will put up 28+ points on Sinton but the Pirates should pull ahead to win by 14. Don't underestimate the Bulldogs as they will get their points. Turnovers and penalties could decide the match as Yoakum is a very opportunistic team.

I don't see that Yoakum has only scored 28+ three times this year. And Sinton has got a good defense this year.

Why didn't Yoakum play Brooks at QB against Cuero? I thought that made Yoakum much more dangerous not knowing which Moore twin was going to get the ball. Either way, Sinton will completely dominate this young Yoakum team. If Sinton leaves their starters in for more than a quarter, I'll go with 49-7.

Regrettably, I believe his night at QB was short lived, following being ejected PP. Can not disagree with your prediction. But, being young pup's, bunch of soph's starting, never know when they might bite someone. Honestly, no clue what they'll do. And yes, Sinton is most talented team they will face to date. They are very good.

Thanks for filling me in. I didn't know about Brooks getting ejected. My prediction was more about how good Sinton is. But with the new info., I'm changing my points to 49-21. Those twins are so talented, I think they get into the end zone at least 3 times with Brooks at QB.

Not trying to jinx Sinton. I don't necessarily believe Sinton will shut out Yoakum but I do believe they will hold them to 14 pts or less. Sinton has a very good offense but their defense makes the offense that much better. I will be pulling for the Pirates in this one. Ya'll better not let me down.:)

We will have to play flawlessly. Something we have not done all year. To win here. Not sure we have played all four quarters all year either, iFootball. This would be a nice place for which to start though. Just clueless which young bunch will show up honestly.

Most likely Sinton is in the part of the schedule now where we can see 4 qtrs. of football from starters for next few games leading up to playoffs.

Score was 7-7 at the half. All of Rio Hondo's scores were off PI turnovers/mistakes. One Rio Hondo TD was a Pick 6, another was off a shanked punt giving them a short field, and the 3rd off a fumble.

This game was way closer than it should have been. Too much free yardage give by way of penalties and WAY too many turnovers. Having said that, the mark of a good team, in my book, is a team that can overcome the bad and stiil pull out the win. Anybody looking at the stats would likely assume Sinton lost the game, but our boys NEVER give up. This was a very exciting game to watch and I want to congratulate the Bulldogs on a good fight.

Close games the last few years against Yoakum. While I felt we played really horrible - Yoakum played well enough to ALMOST pull off the "upset". If you have 5 turnovers and still win the game that's saying something. It wasn't pretty, but we'll take it! Boys are determined not to let that happen again! "We are onto Cuero"

I visited with Coach Owens after game and he said it was minor and did not want to take a chance on it getting worse.. He be fine. Coach Owens was my GS coach at Cuero and a super guy.. My Freshman GS and Ethan played youth football on same team for a couple yrs in Cuero.

Colten Cohea came in to this game 19 for 20 over the last two games in passing department with a qb rating of 200.

Cohea was off his mark last night as Yoakum had good coverage and missed on some throws. Cohea was 7 of 13 with 1 td but only 53 yds. But he's a dual threat and did his damage on the ground with 24 carries for 218 yards and 2 tds.

Yoakum with good team speed and young should be better once the playoff starts. Be ready for a battle whoever plays them once playoff starts.

Coach Owens and his son have been great additions to Sinton community.
