As a McNeese University ex, I keep up with the Cowboys. They are playing for a national championship this coming weekend. They had a spectacular come from behind win last Saturday in Lake Charles. Those two boys from Newton start for them on defense and I heard their names a lot.
That Joli Blon fight song is probably still echoing in Lake Charles. Go Cowboys!!

Lots of us outside of Newton recognize those names! Those are fine young men and great athletes. Good luck to the McNeese Cowboys this weekend!! There are quite a few Texas boys over there fighting for that National Championship.

Those SE Texas boys and those SW Louisiana boys are playing in Chattanooga TN for the National Championship. Why, those teams from Montana that they beat were quite awesome, in themselves. Congratulations to the McNeese Cowboys for taking it that far!...Who ever heard of a Cajun Fightsong that is translated as "Pretty Blond"? Now that is a team worthy of backing!
