That's the D1 rankings. Do you have the D2 rankings?

WOS has a tough PNG, Jasper, Silsbee, Richmond Foster, Newton gauntlet in the next 5 games. If we can survive with 3 wins out of 5 I think we'll be looking good. If we get through that 5-0 then watch out.

3A DI is brutal. They have the wrong teams winning and losing the wrong games. I thought they just had the list mixed up but they actually dropped a team (Pottsboro) like they actually lost to that team.

I like that gauntlet.Lets you find out where you are for real.
Not to mention any names but there was a team that scheduled powder puff teams and went into district at 5-0.Ended up 5-5. This went on for several years.Fans asking after each year what happened?lol

I don't mean to be nitpicky, but when you click on DCTF link, it looks like they have the records wrong for Sweetwater, Atlanta and Cuero. It's early and this probably doesn't mean much, but I thought DCTF a little better than that.

It's not just that. They've had several mistakes over the past few weeks that I've noticed. There has been a huge, noticeable step backwards for DCTF this season. It looks like Tepper is more focused on his Fox Sports SW stuff than putting out quality work for DCTF, in my opinion. Whatever the reason, I stopped visiting the DCTF page, as there's just not much of value being posted anymore.

First time in a long time that I chose not to purchase DCTF this summer and you know I really have not missed it as I was becoming more disappointed with their quality and coverage from College to High School.

I'm guessing this ranking is giving Stephenville a lot of credit with our past winning tradition. No question in my mind that this team has a lot of potential and will develop into a strong contender this year, but before this happens we will see a few more potential loses before district play.

Brownwood may get a few votes "if" they upset Liberty Hill, but I don't see that happening, and continue to stay "where they belong".

This top 10 will change drastically before district, and I don't see Stephenville holding on for very long due to the pre-distirct schedule. I just hope they can get through it without injury and start district play with a lot of "lessons learned" and healthy.

I was in the same boat. I went with Little Matt & Co.'s mag this summer and was very pleased. There were mistakes, obviously, and some things that can be improved in the future, but overall, I loved it.

DCTF had Gabe Brooks on their staff last season. He used to write for etsn.fm, before making the move last year. He was far-and-away the best writer DCTF had. Not sure if he got the boot, they couldn't afford him or he got out of Dodge while the getting was good, but without him on staff, DCTF lacks anyone with any real writing ability.

Last I heard, Gabe left DCTF to work for scout.com. He's very good at what he does.

Gilmer has man handled two teams in a row with no passing game. If they get a passing game going, DII is in big trouble.
Tatum has not shown that they belong anywhere in the top 20 much less the top ten. They can redeem them selves if they can play with Gilmer this Friday night.
Gladewater will get blown out this weekend, the team from Shreveport, Louisiana is a good 5A size Texas type team that likes to run up the score.

WOS has pretty much their entire defensive line back and our Junior QB who passed his way into the State Finals last year as a sophomore. Our Offensive line is growing quickly. Would love to see Gilmer again. They're the only team we've played that we're 0-2 against. WOS has never gone 0-3 against any team so bring it on Gilmer. Celina and Sweetwater if you want to step up and beat them I'm okay with that. ;p

The way it looks to me right now is WOS with about three or four team with a chance to keep them from a title but just a chance.

Still don't like that #1 target. The next 7 games aren't necessarily cakewalks but WOS' to lose. Silsbee is tough most years, Richmond Foster is 3 times our enrollment but just lost to an HISD school and Newton plays @ WOS this year and lost to Bridge City. District 9 is pretty deep. Liberty is looking much better this year so that 5th place could be anyone. We will be favorites in every game up until that 2nd round when we played Giddings last year in a close one. Only two R1 and two R3 teams in top 10. Nice to see three R4 teams up there. Giddings, Wharton and Bellville are still right there in R3 though.

Wharton should be in top 10 over Cuero. They beat Cuero 35-13 in week one. DCTF still has Cuero at 3-0. Maybe they got the Wharton-Cuero outcome backwards. Whatever it is, Cuero shouldn't be in top 10 or top 15. Total rebuilding year.

Agreed. Cuero looks way down from what I've seen of them on film this year. They'll get better as the season goes on for sure, but they won't make much noise in the postseason. And Wharton looks salty, lots of speed on the field from what I can tell.

Here is my problem with #1 going to us and Gilmer #2. If we both stay undefeated, Gilmer beat Wos last year so should stay #1 until we would have a chance to beat you. There, now target is back on the Bucks. :)

Nope! West Orange-Stark is deserving the number 1 ranking. They are ranked number 1 for a reason. If it were me, Gilmer would be in the number 5 or 6 slot. :D

We have always had a target on their back! Especially this year, being the defending state champs. Nothing new. West Orange-Stark is number 1!

Ol' Tepper still can't figure out Cuero's record, bless his heart. The Gobblers are nowhere near a top 10 team. Don't know much about Orange Grove, either, but I reckon they broke the top 10 because they're undefeated. Gladewater is still a contender, in my opinion. But that top six may not change all season. None of those teams are going anywhere.
