Should be a good game. Wishing this one was in Giddings, but Wimberley is nice place to visit. Giddings has some things to improve on from last week's game, but that is always nice to say when coming off of a win.

What happened in the La vernia game. Were the bears pretty tough?

Wimberley D looked good, but LV offense is replacing 8 starters, so it's hard to say.....Both teams have work to do. LV scored on three plays over 85 yards. Other than that, the game was underwhelming. I think it was two good teams making each other look bad, but we need to see some more matchups to know that. After this week, we'll know a lot more.

Starting QB, starting TB, and best WR are sophomores.

We'll eventually be good, but it may not be this week.

I look for the buffs to improve on both sides of the ball and keep it in the win column with a 10 point victory.

This will be the local news/TV station KEYE's (Friday Night Rivals) game of the week. First home game..lots of emotion...especially after the recent events. Expecting a huge crowd. Just a suggestion..Giddings folk should try and get here early as possible. Parking could get crazy. The RR 12 bridge that crosses the Blanco River is open. New stadium upgrades are awesome. Hopefully the food from the new concessions reflect that too.. lol Go Texans!!

For all the Giddings fans coming to the game you should park at Scudder ES. Turn left off 2325 by Miss Mae's Barbque and parking is right behind the visitors stands.

WT bounces back this week. Texans by 14. GZ ran at nearly 5 yards a clip on Buff's. Some reason, wanted to throw when averaging that. I think WT is better rushing team. Giddings is quick, but-- WT skilled enough to contain. Be a high scoring affair IMO, 44-30 WT.

For record, LV is good too.

Wimbo blocked a punt and got decent field position but had 3 penalties and had to punt themselves.

Giddings returner had a great return but a block in the back was called and brought it back to the 28 yard line. No problem. Elijah Lewis around the left side for a 72 yard rushing TD.

Congrats to Giddings!! Your experienced QB was the difference..imo. Proud of the Texans. A couple of big turnovers and inexperience did us in once again but damn, we are gonna be good come playoff time..damn good.

Giddings is good. That MLB is a beast, and that #72 (Tyler?) soph D-lineman... well, he's going to be really good.

I thought we played better than last week. I like our O-line, and I like our D, but it hurts having so many sophs at the skill positions on offense. Also, we desperately lack speed. But I looked at our schedule, and other than Navarro, we have at least a pretty good shot to win every game on it as long as we keep improving.
