I don't know a ton about either team yet this early in the season. But I'd say Decatur by a lot.

Alvarado ran into a buzzsaw last friday..re-boot was successful, hopefully some descrepencies will get some attention this week, and the Indians get it back on track. main culprits were missed tackles and dropped passes on 3rd down and a couple of sure TDs..young WRs were open all night, just have to find the handle.
Decatur probably shouldnt underestimate the Indians saturday..it wasnt lack of effort that beat them vs.La Vega. btw..LV pretty dang good team!!

Saw some video on Decatur vs. springtown..typical Mike Fuller team..well coached attacking offense..opportunistic D..he always fields good teams that play with confidence.

This will be a good game. Imo, Decatur should win. There were two different teams Friday night against Stown. First half Decatur team had three turnovers that turned into 22 points for Springtown. Second half team had zero turnovers. Decatur out scored Stown 27-7 in the second half. They ran the ball and protected it. The jr QB for Decatur is a solid looking kid and runs very hard. The sr QB is more of a passer and can run if he has to. Decatur had 270 passing and 250 rushing last week. I'm interested to see how this one turns out.

The Indians playing good both sides...D doing an excellent job getting pressure and tackling much better!!
Offense is grinding it out, leading to long gainers like the run before half..then scoring on a power play!! Awesome job Indians!!

it was a quality win for the Indians, not going to start a "where we belong" thread..still a lot of room for improvement, we're moving in the right direction!

Is La Vega really, really good this season, or was Alvarado just not ready last week? Maybe it was a little of both all mixed together, huh? Will hafta keep a close eye on LV. I think they beat a pretty decent 5A Hutto team 27-21 this week.

It was definitely a little of both. They have speed all over the field. We did not play very good at all that night. That being said I think early on they will be the favorite out of region 4. I know some may disagree but I will stick with my guns until they lose in the playoffs.
