Well, it's a pretty good opening weekend for sure.


Looks like a stout slate of games! How is Lubbock High supposed to be this year? Wylie will have it's hands full with a very good Argyle team, suspect Tivy will put it on Big Spring but you never know.

Abou the same I believe. Lubbock reminds me of SALV just bigger. They're more finesse than physical. They'll
have a strong arm QB that will air it out to tall recievers which will be difficult for our undersized secondary to
defend. But, we should have plenty of fire power to outscore them again this year.

Agrre about Tivy and Big Spring they have been the most enigmatic team in the area going back to my days in
the late 80's.

Got a ten year old Chevy short bed that gets reasonable gas mileage. A full tank gets me from
Sweetwater to Corpus Christi with no problem. That's not too bad.

They just cannot seem to put it together, lack of discipline is a big problem. When I lived there ('92-'03) I used to always say they did less with more talent than any team I'd ever seen.

Exactly, I still think they beat Snyder and make the playoffs but it'll be interesting to see just how competitive they are going to be.
