What is the scoop on the Mustangs this year? It has been extremely quiet, but then again Ingleside has never had a lot of posters. Anybody know anything about Rio Grande City?

Can't find anybody that will say much about the Mustangs this year. I was told that there are some big boys on the OL and some speed in the backfield with Farrell moving from WR to RB. This will be Salinas first year as the starting QB. He has beefed up a lot since last year. Don't know if this is true but I heard Ingleside has been practising the Slot T offense. I think any win is a bonus.

Well I guess everyone is expecting a very down year then.

This was the most horrible display of offe we or lack of offense I have ever seen. The bright spot for Ingleside was the punter and he got plenty of practice. At this point Ingleside couldn't beat the worse JV in our district.

Hard to believe isn't it. You would believe it if you were at the game and saw this disaster. There were only about 100 II ngleside fans to make the 175 mile drive and think about a fourth of them left at half time. It was that bad.

Did the players look lost with the new Offense? They had like 5 turnovers right?

The offense looked lost being on a football field. 2 fumbled punts resulting in RGC's 2 TDs, 2 other fumbles, at least 4 dropped passes,1 interception , and I lost count of motion penalties. It didn't seem like there was much enthusiasm among the players either. It looks like it is going to be a long season. Hopefully we can score at least once during the season.

are they running the spread or trying out the slot T?

It looked like a spread option last night.

Qb gets it down should look a lot better later in the season, he'll be the key to getting that offense to gel.
