It will be a battle of 2 styles. I believe Alvarado will come out with the victory this year. LA Vega has speed every where but Alvarado knows how to control the clock and keep the high powered offense off the field. My prediction is 24-20 Alvarado.

i think this might be one of the best games in the state behind Wylie/Argyle. I'm going with Alvarado by 3.

La Vega's front 7 on D is big and fast..Indians will have to pass efficiently to keep them off balance to have success in the running game, kind of opposite of our basic philosophy..but against the Pirates it's what will work..
Defensively the Indians have to make quick reads and keep the speed in front of them and tackle well..stop the big play, don't chase it! If the Indians let this turn into a track meet.. It's over! Gonna have to grind this one out to get the W.

Indians have good WRs and a 2nd yr. QB who is not afraid to pull the trigger..yeah, the safety and corner you speak of are great..didnt say it would be easy LOL!

hahaha!! just keepin it real there HollyWood, are ya? lets see...we have a QB who took his lumps as a soph. last year, coming back with confidence, a power back coming back and a quick cut back runner making his varsity debut(LH folks got to see him take one to the house last friday) along with some speedy young WRs..Defense will be stout up front and alot quicker secondary...we may very well walk the plank..but, dem Pirates just might get scalped too..haha!
should be a very good game..hopefully find some things out and work from there!

Ouch.. I expected LV to win but I didn't expect a 47 point deficit. Lick the wounds Indians and go back to the grind Monday. It's time to get better!

As I spit the crow out of my mouth. I will say this La vega is good not as good as we made them. Alvarado is also not as bad as they played last night. We only have one way to go and that is up after that performance. WE will get better.. I hope.. lol. But really we have a lot to work on and that's is obvious by the score. Good luck to LA Vega they are very talented.

I couldn't make this one. I hope neither team had serious injuries and that they both have a good season ahead.

Alvarado seems to be in need of work, but often times to get to where you're going you have to overcome a few bumps in the road.
