Navarro outscored Devine 5-0 on Tds. No details other than the offense was good (2 fumbles though) and the Defense was Great! 2 scrimmages and have outscored 12-0. Looks to be a good year shaping up.

In the live quarter, Yoe outscored Madisonville 13-7.

I know Celina won (if you want to call it that) its live quarter against Sanger, but I don't have a score or any details. Hopefully some of my fellow Bobcat posters start to come back around as the season gets going.

Leps scored 4 times in the controlled scrimmage and Lockhart once. However in the game simulated two quarters the Lyons scored 3 and Leps only once. Leps offense was better this week especially the o line with more aggressiveness off the LOS and down field blocking of linebackers. JK did not play and our starting QB Janda only played a little in the controlled scrimmage part while our two backup Qb got the most snaps. They looked pretty decent too. It is hard to tell how well the Leps will do next week against Liberty Hill but the defense looked good at times against the Lyon's slot T offense so we will see next Friday.

WOS 14-13 over Bridge City and 7-6 over 5A Vidor in two mock games. Defense looking much better compared to last week. LCM at home next week to start the season.

Been wondering why I haven't seen you around on here for a while. Usually could always count on some insight from you leading into the season opener.

Actually that was the controlled scrimmage. The live quarter Navarro won 20-0. Heard Devine crossed the fifty one time on a penalty.

Stephenville looked ok against Granbury.

Controlled portion was as usual. Both teams running vanilla plays. SV defense plays physical. SV offense has kinks to work out.

Live quarter, SV 13-0. Kicker shanked the first PAT. Second one he nailed.

Slow start for the Gobblers. Victoria West scored three touchdowns and held Cuero scoreless in the controlled scrimmage. In the live portion, Cuero 13 West 10. Victoria West is pretty darn good.

Saw some of Refugio-Sam Houston scrimmage in Yoakum and looked like Refugio was handling SH pretty easily.
Yoakum then scrimmage Sam Houston and Yoakum scored 4 TD to 1 for SH.
Then Refugio - Yoakum scrimmage started and was stopped after about 5 plays . Problems carrying over from last yr scrimmage continued and I guess one or both coaches decided to end it. Not good for either program in my opinion to have this type of bad blood ending a scrimmage. Both teams needed the work against good Competion . Very disappointing and not sure why this started last yr. This was 4 yr they scrimmage Refugio and no problems first 2 yrs.
Not one problem when SH scrimmage Refugio or Yoakum .

Always been issues in this scrimmage bd really. First two years, it was completed, but---was very chippy even then. Last two years, it was clear from the start, they would not be completed from the start. I think this is why Sam Houston was invited in this year, so---needed work could be done.

VW really? Or, maybe Cuero really isn't #5 or 6 in state?VW is very good. they have 8/8 starters back from team that made it to the third round of the D1 5A playoffs last year. Their QB Gamarquis Girdy was all state Honorable mention last year.
