One of the big offseason topics was the Northwestern University Football Team making some claims that due to practice requirements and schedules, many athletes were either denied or encouraged to pursue course work that did not point them to the degree that they wanted.
Athletes choices of degrees limited.
Just wondering if anybody has firsthand experience in this, either as a parent or a student-athlete?

Young lady from Bullard goes off & is starter on Tech's basketball team...3 yrs later, graduates & has 2 years of eligibility left...talks Vanderbilt to give her a full ride & play ball for her masters. She leaves in the morning

Young man from Linden-Kildare goes off to Texas A&M, becomes All American while getting an Electrical Engineering degree plays QB for New Orleans and becomes General Manager of East Texas Electric Coop

& the list goes on...fine people take advantage of opportunities presented to them...the list goes on in a great part of Texas
