Gotta be one of the tougher, if not the toughest, schedules in 4A (DI or DII). I see the Eagles navigating their way through it unscathed, but could also see a 4-1 record heading into district, which they'll then run away and hide with.

Also one of the toughest, if not THE toughest in 4A. That's a freaking nasty gauntlet to run. But that's why the Buckeyes are battle ready come late November and December.

I can see VILLE going 4-5. Young team for the most part. Facing adversity coming into the season with losing a few key players and having a "new" head coach take over. Future does look good though.

But like I said the program is incomplete.. Need more roster info on all teams.. But it was right every time but twice last year and only off by 4 points on one and 8 on the other..

It wouldn't surprise me to see Argyle lose a game or two this season before district starts. They should be fine once their tough predistrict schedule ends. I would definitely put them as a top contender once the playoffs begin. By that time, barring significant injuries, everything should be in place for a strong run.

I want to say 10-0 but logic tells me that we will have some growing pains early on. If you put a gun to my head and said I have to pick a loss then ill go 9-1 or 8-2 with losses to Richmond Foster and/or PNG. RF's numbers are whats difficult and PNG basically has the same team as last year only more experienced. I see Newton as tough but we wont lose to them this year. They learned their lesson. I honestly think Orangefield will be probably the toughest district opponent. I don't see HJ getting close to us. They didn't last year and they lost the majority of their players to graduation and QB and HC to Bridge City. Also believe they will be learning a new offense.

Last year I looked at our schedule, took into account what we had returning and thought we'd go 7-3 or 8-2.
The two teams that were supposed to give us the toughest test were blowouts @ Andrews and @ Mustang Bowl
versus Monahans. Two teams that we were expected to blow out gave us fits but we were able to win both
in one score games. To be fair both games were long road trips to Ft. Stockton and Muleshoe but my point is
you never know how a team will fair no matter how soft or tough their schedule may look when a game hasn't
been played yet.

Having said that I think Sweetwater goes 10-0 easy! :D

Only way Decatur plays Graham close is if they get their QB situation resolved. Decatur's freshman class beat Graham by 30 and have a good future. I just don't think this year will be as good of a game as last year between these two teams. Graham by 20+

Most of them graduated last year, so we'll have to see how rising juniors and sophs do on the o-Line. I think defense will keep us in the games, while O gets it together early on. Looking forward to seeing Burnet in the playoffs again so we can spank that arse!!!!

Pending no blowouts against bandera next week, we will end 8-2 and likely get to spank that Burnet arse in bi-district instead of regionals.

I said 9-1 or 8-2. Not enough faith I guess. We going into playoffs at 10-0 with a 26 game winning streak...... Looking for 32:D

We'll reassess after the first 5 games. ;) Wood will not beat VILLE this season. Mark it down. It's going to come down to Wylie and Ville for DC.

Wash your keyboard down with some heavy duty reality, Hollywood! TheJackets just aint got it this year! Remember that, Mark it down, 4th place!

Barring an upset loss to Sanger at Senior Night in Argyle, I mentioned a loss or two in predistrict, and that did happen against Celina. Wylie gave us a tough game to open the season. But I knew this team would get much better with time as they got the players in the right positions with plenty of snaps. Most have played on varsity before, despite their youth. We actually have a couple of freshman on the varsity this season looking very stout. You have to be pretty darn good to make the varsity as a freshman at Argyle. To be exact, three freshman are on varsity this season. Some may suit up once the playoffs get here. Normally, only deserving JV'ers are moved up.
