4A Region IV champion El Campo placed several players on the Texas Sports Writers Association 4A All-State baseball team. Cuero added a pair of honorable mentions.
Second baseman Chad Quinn, shortstop Andrew Saucedo and outfielder Clayton Harp - all seniors - each represented El Campo as first-team selections.
Designated hitter Brock Brandl, who will be a junior, earned third team honors. Cuero catcher Reid Schiffbauer and Cuero designated hitter D'Mond LaFond were honorable mentions.
Quinn hit .401 this past spring with 26 RBIs and recorded a .483 on base percentage. He finished his career hitting .409 with 43 stolen bases.
Saucedo hit .447, stole 13 bases and drew 14 walks in 2015. Harp, a Sam Houston State signee, drove in 46 runs for the Ricebirds in 2015 while hitting .380. Harp was a career .382 hitter with a .472 on base percentage and 100 RBIs.
Brandl delivered a key RBI-double late in El Campo's Region IV title win over Hidalgo on June 6. Brandl hit .400 this past spring with 22 RBIs.
Schiffbauer signed with Coastal Bend College after hitting .393 as a senior in 2015. LaFond, who will be a junior, hit .357 this past spring and has orally committed to Rice.
