Finally......we have another Triple Crown winner like Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed. Its been a loooong time. What a great horse and a great race he ran today!!! And what a great name.....American Pharoah. We've been waiting since 1978. Bob Baffert is on the top of the world right now. He's a classy guy.

2:26 and 3.....only the great Secretariat has bested that time in the Belmont. What a thrilling day and a thrilling way to end the 28-year drought in dominating fashion. On a beautiful day at Belmont. The crowd went absolutely wild. And the party has begun, folks.....in the horseracing world, that is.

An historic day for all you folks that were alive to see it. I've seen all 4 now in my lifetime....it's a very rare feat. American Pharoah has now been crowned King in the KING OF SPORTS. But what is really is.....is the sport FOR Kings, haha.

I got my numbers wrong.....it's been a 37-year drought between Triple Crown winners, not 28 yrs. WOW......that's a very looong wait.

I take it you have never been in person. It is an event you will not forget. I was at the All American in Ruidoso in 1971 with my Uncle and got to watch the fastest Qurter I have ever seen win it. Mr Kid Charge

My Dad was into horseracing and we had several quarter horses that were winners. It's a different kind of spectator sport, but it can get in your blood. I really enjoy it.

I love horse racing and I love seeing history. I came in off the lake to make sure I could see the race. In no way was is disappointed.

I'm pretty sure the first two races are rigged to set up for a Triple Crown winner. They are probably disappointed it actually happened because now the novelty of it is gone for a few years.

I don't wear the fancy hats or drink mint julips.. but I do like "the big races" I'm not sure why, because I'm not a big "horse person" but it just is so emotional to watch those beautiful horses run with everything they have - trying to win the race.. My middle son was born the Thursday before the race in June 1978 and I remember watching Affirmed win the Triple Crown that year. (while wrangling a 23 month old and a 2 day old lol) So I was glad I was able to watch American Pharoah win the Triple Crown, 37 years later.

I seen the last 4 and I was wondering after Affirmed 37 years ago I would see another one. It was a great race.
