Ricebirds had a runner thrown out at the plate in the top of the first and stranded a runner at third

Ricebirds had runner at third with one out in the top of the innings and Pirate had a lead off double in the bottom half and couldn't score

Just heard that Crivilleri hurt his back. El Campo has big time pitching problems without their #1 and #2 unavailable for the series.

It was definitely a wild ride for the Sinton Pirates this season in baseball. At first, it looked like they may not even make the playoffs at all. Then they kept advancing with just enough to win each series all the way to tonite's regional semi.....which they took to extra innings and could have won. All in all, I'd say Sinton made the most of its season. Congrats to the Ricebirds for advancing to the regional final.

Two very close games. Sinton played hard.

Great job by El Campo winning the series with their two top pitchers injured.

With these 2 wins, El Campo's season record now moves to 28-5.....very impressive. If Hidalgo wins the next game against Brazosport, their season record will be 25-5-1 and they will play El Campo for the regional championship. That would make for a great matchup of 2 really good clubs. Somebody will go home.
