Those who follow La Marque football, much prayers are needed for Mike "Pappa Coog" Lockwood AKA 1971 Coogs. He suffered a heart attack and is Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.

From his son's Facebook page,

"Well, great news... They have released my dad, Mike Lockwood, from the hospital. He's feeling much better and we are all so thankful for everyone's support and kind words. He is very fortunate, the medical staff said he was minutes away from full cardiac arrest. They were able to put the stint in his heart valve that had 99% blockage within 6 minutes after starting the procedure. Overall, it was 72 minutes from the time the EMT's arrived until the stint was in , and they cleared the clotted artery. A true testament to today's medical staff and technology. Going from ICU with a heart attack yesterday morning to being released and home today is simply amazing."
