Surely El Campo and Wharton played at least 4 and 1 half innings. If they didn't play that many, its not an official game unless Wharton just took their stuff and went home.

Argyle again goes undefeated(10-0) as District Champ. Their record now for the season is 20-6. Now a new season begins....the playoffs. Who's hot and who's not/who's got the best pitching and who's swinging the bats right now.

La Grange 4 Giddings 5 , with the lost to Giddings and Navasota beating Smithville La Grange will miss the playoffs for the first in many years. Really hard to believe with only 6 teams in our District and 4 teams making the playoffs that LG will miss out, I cannot even remember the last time LG did not make the playoffs. Hope this does not continue, to much pride in LG baseball for this to happen.

That's pretty embarrassing that they couldn't/wouldn't finish the game. What kind of message is it sending to the kids that if you get behind or things go badly, you just quit? Hook, Im really surprised about LG as well. My guess is that this slump will not last long at all. On the positive side, LG has a great facility and will be able to host lots of playoff games!

Hard to host playoff games when your team is sitting at home for the playoffs, that is one sick feeling. Yes this team has some talent and will get better over the summer but not making the playoffs this year really hurt these kids, most all will be back next year so there will be no excuses for not making a good run in the playoffs. Losing to Smithville is bad enough but losing at home to them has never happened that I know of, if that does not motivate them next year then something is terrible wrong.

Sealy beat Bay City 13-1 to finish tied with Wharton for third place with 5-5 records. Don't know if they will play it off or flip.
El Campo won the district with a 9-1 record and Columbus was second at 7-3
