Feeling bored, but not bored enough to get the stats off of everyone. What's your football record over the last 100 games?

WO-S is 82-18. 82% winning percentage.

3 Losses to State Champs - Gilmer, Carthage, Navasota
5 Losses to higher classification - Friendswood x2, Nederland, PNG, Richmond Foster
9 Losses to non-state champs same classification - Gilmer, Giddings, Coldspring x2, Kirbyville, Brookshire, Silsbee, Jasper, La Vega
1 Loss to smaller classification - Newton

Knowing your history...one would think you already have the answer...been a long time since an SC though.

Hey WOS87......what's Argyle's??? I know it's pretty darn good, but if you already have it at your fingertips I'd be willing to bet it's in the same area as WOS.....maybe even better. Heck, I'll go look it up myself now that you've got me wondering, haha.

Okay, I got it.....88-12 since the 08-09 season. In that year Argyle had it's worst record ever(7-5), but still played 12 games. So that's 100 games in just 7 seasons, with 7-5 being the worst by a loooong shot. That's a winning percentage of 88% and includes 2 State Championships, 2 state final losses, and 2 losses to State Champs or State Runnerup in 6 of those 7 seasons. The season Argyle lost to Wimberley in the final, they had lost in district to Prosper, but then beat them in the playoffs. All the other losses were in that 7-5 season. In the past 10 seasons, Argyle has gone 116-23. So in the past 7 seasons, Argyle has played exactly 100 games, an avg. of 14.29 games/season. In the last 10 seasons, Argyle has played 139 games, an 83.5% winning percentage, and a whopping 13.9 games/season for 10 straight seasons. Argyle has completed 13 seasons now in football.

Heck, I knew the record was stellar, but I didn't realize just how stellar. Coach Rodgers is to be highly commended....not just for success in the football program....but for carrying it forward to all the sports with all the different coaches for those sports and the additional hires he's made in that time frame. There's really nothing that special about the student athletes.....they are normal kids for the most part that have just been exposed to a program early on now that helps them to achieve at a high level by the time they get to high school. But actually, Argyle went to State in football(2A) in Coach Rodgers 3rd season.....before the program was really established. That was the 05-06 season, my son's junior year. Coach Rodgers started when my son was a freshman, and Argyle's 2nd season. We didn't have any seniors that season. The next year was the first senior class in Argyle....my son's soph. year.
That first season when my son was still in junior high, Argyle just played with freshman and sophs, and played about 8 games if I remember correctly. They played whoever they could schedule as a start-up program. I think they won ONE game, haha. Then Argyle hired Coach Rodgers the very next season, and it's been nothing short of total upward success for athletics in Argyle since.

Buckeyes have been very blessed...90 - 11 for the last 7 seasons (2 with no losses)...2 State Championships... #1 Record...No athlete (boy or girl in any sport ineligible to play due to grades)

Oh, and WO-S does not like to play us.

I know but I'd rather talk about the Yoemen and 3 State Championships, 1 State Finalist and a 5-5 season thrown in between for good measure rather than China Spring's 29-29 record.

Last 5 at Allen?
82-6

Last 10
133- 16

DAMN, Allen has been impressive. Especially considering they played 88 games in five years. That is over 17 games per season average.

Stephenville is 76-24 in last 100 going back to 2007. From 2007-2011 there were some great rival games with Aledo and Everman. Speaking of Aledo, their record is 93-7 going back to 2008. Yes, a couple of those losses for Aledo were to Stephenville. ;)

LH is 86 - 22 including the 2007 season.
2007 and 2008 were 14-0 and 14-1 seasons, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 were mediocre years.
2013 was a 10-2 year
2014 was 12-3 year

Pretty durn good for a team that doesn't run a spread offense, have great size or speed. Just making due with what we got! Looking forward to another great season coming up.

Well you know they could beat most NFL teams.

:ack!: Dont make fun of old people.... I added to many 16-0 seasons.

5 years .... 68-4 13.6 games a season.

All better.
