Just wondering. Ingleside's pre-district opponents didn't seem that impressive. I wish they would play tougher opponents like Sinton and Robstown do. Well they at least have 1 district win. I guess I'll will know how good the Mustangs are when they play Sinton and Robstown. Thanks for the info.

Probably before I was born and I'm an old fart.That's a very good question. I can only recall back as far as 2000 without doing further research, but since 2000 they had never started 0-1 so never 0-2 and most losses in district since then has been 2 losses in 2010 and 2013. 2010 Robstown won it and 2013 Sinton share title with Robstown. Ingleside beat Sinton back in 2010 and have never been swept since 2000 in district.

Sinton offensively not coming up with the big hits and making to many errors on routine plays. They're young and should be a more polish team later in the season and hopefully with still a chance to come out on top for us Pirate fans. This season district is much improved overall.

Next good matchup is Ingleside vs Rockport Fulton as RF will have their ace on the mound.

First time in the 2000's Sinton has had more than 2 losses in district play and 2 losses at home. All 3 losses for Sinton have been by a run and a throw out at 3rd base twice and last night at home plate to end the game.

It will be an interesting match-up this week. If Robstown continues to follow the rotation JR Garcia should be on the mound. With him on the mound, Robstown has a good shot at pulling the victory.

Don't know if it will be Noles turn on the mound for RF. I remember seeing him last night and thinking that he had a very good strong arm.

Smithwick from OG, while having a strong arm was not very effective. Robstown was able to make him waste pitches and got key base hits when they mattered most.

Sinton at Robstown (Last meeting Sinton pitcher Jordan Martinez had a 2 hit shut out in the 7th with 1 out before a error in outfield gave some spark to a Robstown rally. Martinez should pitch tonight but Siinton defense and offense will need to step up their game as Robstown has shut out its last two district foes)

Rockport-Fulton at Kingsville (Rockport Fulton took its first district loss last week to Robstown now face a Kingsville team trying to keep its playoff hopes going)

West Oso at Orange Grove (Orange Grove will have Quentin Smithwick on the mound coming of a no hit bid against Sinton last time out as Orange Grove tries to keep pace with the district leaders Robstown and Rockport Fulton. West Oso suffered a setback and now back tied for 4th with Kingsville and Sinton.)

Robstown and Sinton both played sloppy last night. Walks, errors and mental mistakes were made by each squad.

I think Sinton would probably have to win out the rest of the way to make it into the playoffs.

Sinton is a young inexperienced team, but the bumps of this season will pay off in the next few seasons.

Robstown needs to develop a solid 2nd pitcher behind JR Garcia.

bit suprise Sinton didn't pitch Jordan Martinez and went with freshman Colt Gorman instead of the other freshman Mason Hopkins, he came on in relief in the 2nd. Pitching is very young although Martinez is the only experience one, Hopkins seems to be throwing more strikes now and Gorman just needs innings to get comfortable. Defense is just not there this season for Sinton the whole infiedl starters for the first time this season when Martinez is on the mound.

both relievers pitched good for both teams. Sinton lacking defense but some how the most runs they've given up this season has been 8 runs which is a bit suprising with the number of errors they make each game.

I was told the Kingsville win over Rockport was a forfeit as well due to an ineligible player being used. Same deal as West Oso where JV kid played JV game and varsity game in the same week. We still have to play Rockport and Kingsville once all this rain moves on and fields are in decent condition. This feels like the longest season EVER!!!

I was told the Kingsville win over Rockport was a forfeit as well due to an ineligible player being used. Same deal as West Oso where JV kid played JV game and varsity game in the same week. We still have to play Rockport and Kingsville once all this rain moves on and fields are in decent condition. This feels like the longest season EVER!!!

Sinton hasn't played since april 7 and have move from tied with 6th place to alone in 4th place. Going on 2 weeks without a game, they're schedule to play Kingsville at TAMKU field Monday at 7pm as one of the makeup games. Ingleside and Rockport Fulton still need to be made up in Sinton. Could be 5 games this week weather permitting.
