Sinton had leaads through out the game from 10-14 pts and last 2 mins Boerne starts hitting 3 and making stops to get within 1 pt with 7 secs. They had the last shot at the buzzer and miss on the two point shot, was glad he didn't pull up and shoot a 3 for the win.

Hidalgo 58-50 over Pearsall. Mavs were down 21 at the half and 28 points at one point. They battled back to cut it to 2 points with 1:30 to play but came up short. Hidalgo has a good squad. They're taking on CC West Oso in a rematch of last years regional contest.

Argyle advances to play Triple A Academy.....whoopee!! Well, they'll have their shot. Dallas Madison and Paris are in the upper bracket and should meet. IF Argyle gets by Triple A, they should be in great position to make it to the regional final. Madision will need to get by the winner of Dallas Lincoln/Aubrey which should be over by now, but I can't find the final score. Paris should get by Kilgore in that matchup. Brownsboro knocked off Paris N. Lamar in the lower tier of the bracket and should get by Pleasant Grove to play the Argyle/Triple A winner. I'm guessing Paris will advance to the regional final this season, but look out for Dallas Madison. I also feel the winner of Argyle/Triple A will get by Brownsboro and advance to the regional final.

Dallas Lincoln, Dallas Madison, Dallas Carter, Dallas Roosevelt, Dallas Pinkston, and Wilmer Hutchins are all from a very strong district that played 5A & 6A schools. Lincoln is the only one that defeated Madison in district, but has suffered not being at full strength most of the season due to injuries to several of its key players. Those players are now back playing for Lincoln. Lincoln has a very legitimate opportunity to knock Madison out of the playoffs Wednesday night in that matchup. That game should be a barnburner.

Good luck against Triple A. It's a shame that a legimate UIL school makes it this far only to have to play a charter school that doesn't follow all the UIL rules.

Argyle was undefeated til they met Dallas Madison for the regional final about 7 yrs. ago. They were ranked #1 and had even beat Duncanville and a couple of other big schools that were ranked high in their classification. They blitzed thru the Whataburger Tournament in their division and basically should have beat Madison. I was there and saw the game. Guess what??? Madison went to the State Tournament and won the title. Argyle had one loss that season(Argyle boys). I believe Madison won by one point on the last shot at the buzzer. Then 2 or 3 yrs. later they finally won it all....but actually the first team in this story was a better team by far.

We've had some with better athletes but not near the team this one is all around. I'm nervous about tonight just because Kilgore has put us out the past two years but that was with a different coach.

Went with another 3a downlow poster :( can't recall his name hasn't been on in awhile. They put up over 100 and with backips in there but kept the pressure on pretty much the whole game. Even their JV team was good that season.

Was tied at end of the 1st quarter 10-10, but it's been the King McClure show since....hitting 3's and major league dunk they say is the dunk of the year. Must've went flying from long distance with a one-hander or something. He's their boss hoss, that's been well-documented. They don't have any slouches, and all have good height to go with their skills. McClure had 13 at halftime.

Looks like their school colors are black & gold. They wore white w/black trim and gold letters. I would be surprised to see Brownsboro beat them. Ima thinkin' Argyle was pretty darn good at doing just enough to beat teams that maybe other equal teams wouldn't. That means most teams that just depend on talent alone are in trouble when they play a team that has the talent of Triple A. Triple A did foul outrageously. At one point in the 3rd they had 14 fouls to Argyle's 3. I don't know what the final tally was. To me, that means they are not nearly disciplined enough if they meet a team like Argyle that can measure up talentwise and w/discipline. In other words, they are their own worst enemy.

I'm gonna predict that Triple A boys will get knocked off somewhere down the line, even though that particular group has the makings to be a state champ. I just do not think the chemistry of the team is good enough when the pressure of the moment to perform at their highest level occurs. They will need to come together from here going forward or they will taste the bitter pill of coming up short. That's just my personal opinion and I could be wrong. Argyle has been there and done that....just sayin'. It takes some luck and complete team chemistry to win a state title, regardless of the talent level of your team. At the playoff level, all other things being relatively equal....desire, discipline, team chemistry, and "being perfect in that moment" will make a difference whether that team wins or loses. How big is your heart? We will see if Triple A can come together as a team and win it all. They certainly have all the ingredients to be a state champ this season in basketball, but do they have the intangibles as well???

Well....let me qualify that last statement. Beat this team then Paris will have the distinction of playing Triple A for the regional championship. Paris will have to beat Madison and Triple A in back to back games to advance to the State Tournament....a very daunting task. Go Wildcats!!

I sure wanted to see Paris get past Madison and have a shot at Triple A. Madison has been in this position so many times, and Paris hasn't. That made somewhat of a difference I'm sure. It's been tough for Argyle all these years to get past Madison as well. We did it a couple of times, and some years they beat us. Wilmer Hutchins the same thing, except not many losses to them. Madison may take Triple A, I dunno. Both teams are very good. Paris had a great season and has no reason to hang its head. Would have been fantastic to get by Madison. Seems like it always comes down to a few missed shots at the end, and then you have to foul.
