People are still trying to climb out of the doldrums of winter to embrace the baseball, be the baseball, love the baseball. Since I only have one boy, and he gave up baseball to focus on football full time, for me spring is about softball - but still miss the baseball.

How's Cam Jr.s season expected to go down - will he make the JV squad or varsity squad? Do ya'll sport a Fish team as well? I know he's fast, but how's his stick?

Yes it is great news....it was Todd who almost took Burnet all the way back in 2010...When he left to Fredericksburg the following year, during the Burnet/Fred football game, I found my way over to the Fred sidelines to take some pics from that side of the field....he saw me, approached me, shook my hand, and told me my boy was playing great for Burnet that night....my current freshman boy is lucky to have him back!! He is excited about playing for Todd.....

Saw Sinton for the first time this season, they're looking pretty good for having to replace 7 starters from last season losing 3 of the top 4 pitchers from last year. One more scrimmage against Corpus Christi Moody next Saturday.

Did Robinson vs West yesterday. Both teams were without their basketball players. Let me make a quick prediction that West will be in Austin in 3A and Robinson will be Robinson.

Did Robinson vs West yesterday. Both teams were without their basketball players. Let me make a quick prediction that West will be in Austin in 3A and Robinson will be Robinson.

I arrived late and saw the last three innings..........not much for me to gauge off of, but I do agree that West will be a frigging terror in 3A.

I'm sure that today's scrimmage against Rockdale will not happen..................dang how did we go from sunshine and upper 70's to cold & wet in just 2 days???????????? Baseball in Feb is for the schizophrenic............

How do you know its baseball season? Its freezing and wet. Baseball in fall, football after Christmas would be the way to go. Good luck to the central Texas teams. Robinson and West ought to both be really good.
