LH has always been good in BB. They were the only team to beat Shaw in highschool.

They are now 27-0 (boys) and only have 1 senior. Speaks well for the future. JV and freshmen are also strong. The community supports sports and academics. Last year for the first time in 12 years the junior high failed to win the UIL district academic meet.

All sports have dedicated parents who teach " the system' (basketball and football) in the youth leagues. Sometimes with ex high school coaches who have kids here.

A few weeks ago the 9th grade girls beat Taylor 89-2. The best 9th grade girl starts on the varity also so look out for the next few years as the 7th grade girls are even better. Varsity girls have only lost 2 this year in tournaments against larger schools.
