Great play call by Seattle....

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 05:10 PM
Absolutely perfectly executed. Talking about changing some momentum, huh?

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 05:12 PM
I'd say that puts Seattle right back into this thing, esp. if they can hold the Pack and get another score before the 4th quarter.

Seattle gets the big stop they need here. The Pack will have to punt to Seattle and they will start now with a little over 2 mins. left in the 3rd.

16-7 Green Bay.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 05:20 PM
Green Bay forces a 3 and out on Seattle now. Seattle punts it back and it is fair caught on the Packer 11. Okay it's the 13 not the 11.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 05:25 PM
Sure is a pretty day here in Central Texas, but I'm spending it watching the last of the football games to be played this season. I did get a call earlier for another roofing contract over the phone, though. So I guess that makes everything just jim dandy so far today, haha.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:04 PM
Not over yet. Seattle scores with a little more than 2 mins. left to make it 19-14. Onside kick upcoming.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:04 PM
They get the onside kick recovery. It ain't over til its over, folks.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:06 PM
Seahawks run it from midfield down to the 40 with 2:01 left as Wilson runs out of bounds. Now here comes the 2 min. warning and Seattle needs a TD to take the lead and possibly win it late in the 4th.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:09 PM
A touchdown will make the score 21-19, so a field goal is possible for Green Bay IF Seattle scores a TD here. Now Seattle is down to the 25.

Roughneck93
01-18-2015, 06:09 PM
Wow...

Roughneck93
01-18-2015, 06:10 PM
And the 2 points...lol.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:11 PM
Lynch scores on a counter to the left side with some nifty running. There's still well over 1 min. left in the game here, though. Green Bay has time left for field goal position, but you score when you can if you're the Seahawks. TWo point conversion sends the score now to 22-19 and makes a field goal just a tie, WOW!!

1:25 left for Rodgers and 3 timeouts for Green Bay to march into field goal range from their own 22.

Pass caught out to the 35 by Nelson. Now another one caught at the 48 of Seattle. Now Rodgers runs it out of bounds at the 40 with still 3 timeouts left.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:15 PM
Green Bay is almost in field goal range now, but have plenty of time left with 3 timeouts to move it closer or possibly score a TD.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:16 PM
3rd and 10 now for the Pack. They need at least a first down or 8 yards for the field goal attempt.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:17 PM
Rodgers finds Nelson down to the 31 short of the first down, but close enough for a 48 yd attempt, which he already hit from once this game already. 19 secs. left.

Overtime....

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:18 PM
This game is tied....the kick is good. Well, looks like Seattle did the right thing going for the 2 point conversion, but really according to the math that was the ONLY way to go.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:19 PM
Overtime in Seattle.....lots of action right here in the final minutes of this game.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:22 PM
Coin flip for possession and both teams have a chance of a possession unless an initial TD is scored. After both teams have been allowed at least one possession, then there can be a winner....if an initial TD was not made. 3 timeouts allowed for each team per half in OT. Seattle wins the toss and elects to receive.

This game has shown it is not just QBs who win games

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:26 PM
Kickoff returned out to the Seattle 12 only. Seattle starts.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:26 PM
It's been a defensive battle today by both teams as the offenses have been held in check for most of the game.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:27 PM
Good for a first down at the Seattle 25.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:28 PM
3rd and 6 for Seattle from their own 31.

Roughneck93
01-18-2015, 06:29 PM

Wilson hits a perfectly thrown pass for a TD and Seattle erupts. They are going to the SuperBowl!!!

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:31 PM
What an ending to this game for both teams, but esp. for Seattle. They garnered that momentum off that fake field goal initially and rolled from there in unbelievable fashion.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:32 PM
This one was really a thing to see with less than 3 mins. left.

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:34 PM
Russell Wilson to Jermaine Kerse on a perfect throw that was indefensivable really. TWO back to back beautiful passes by Wilson in OT here that took Seattle from their own 30 to a winning TD. Game, Set, and Match.....it's over baby!!!

regaleagle
01-18-2015, 06:36 PM
Adios Packers....you played a very good defensive game today and just didn't finish the job. Seattle was held in check for most of the day, but when it really counted they somehow stayed alive and ended up as the winner of this game. Seattle played a great defensive game as well, but we knew coming in that would be the case.

Green Bay blew it when they intercepted the ball with about 5 minutes left, Offense runs 3 vanilla running plays and FAIL to get a first down. 3 and out.

i just can't imaging the Romo bashing that would have been occurring had Romo played liked Wilson against Green Bay. Funny how having a team that can cover your mistakes matters. Green Bay should be ashamed at the lack of urgency in the second half to put this game away. I am still stunned they blew this. Almost as bad as the Houston meltdown against Buffalo years ago.

Can you imagine what Farmersfan would be saying if it was the cowboys losing like this. Hell, he would be bitching if they won like Seattle. Just shows you that as a qb in the NFL, you cannot be perfect like FF expects you to be.

Both QBs were terrible. That game was won by every other position and no one try to say yea but look how clutch Wilson was. He gave the game to GB and they gift wrapped it back to him

No..what is the story?

No..what is the story?

He has never caught a pass in the NFL. He has been cut by Seattle twice this year and actually played some Canadian League football prior to this season. He was a 4 star Ju-co player out of California. He always wanted to play for Pete Carroll at USC. One night he was at a friends house and they were talking about him playing for USC one day. His friend then told him his neighboor was actually Pete Carroll. So this kid tells his friend he was going home for the night. He goes to his house and gets one of his high light tapes and goes back to where his friend lives. Except this time he goes next door and knocks on the door. No one is answering so he decides to leave the CD in the mail slot. Just as he is about to walk away the door answers and it is Pete's wife. The kid tells her his back story and how he got to her front porch. He then gives her the tape and asks if she would give that to her husband when he gets home. She tells him of course. Fast forwards several years later when Seattle signs him and the kid asks Pete if he remembers him and his video and Pete has NO idea what he is talking about. He then introduces him to his wife and she is clueless on who he is and has no recollection of that night. Weird , but a cool story to say the least.

The only thing I will say about this game is that I have no doubts that Dallas DESTROYS either of those teams if their QB plays as poorly as Rogers and Wilson did. Rogers finished with a 55 QB rating and Wilson finished with a 44 QB rating (unless of course Romo also plays horrible)........................The Cowboys were a gnats arse away from beating Green Bay in Green Bay with the Packers playing their best possible game.
