Taihi Jones was reassigned this morning.
Yes, I know it's lolRGV but I'm just putting this out there. Hidalgo has athletes, and a damn good Baseball program along with a very good basketball program.

No word yet. Though considering how good a job the basketball and baseball coaches have been doing @ Hidalgo as of late, it's safe to assume their jobs are secured unless the new AD/HFC wants to completely clean house.
I saw that the baseball team is the preseason #1. Im thinking the coach will get run off for having a good program. Get them all in football and forget about these other sports! They need to eliminate these distractions from football, put in universal offseason and win some football games. ahahahahah

Normally, senor Pancho Villa, I consider you a troll and a baboso. But since your comment actually has some relevance with regard to Hidalgo, I'll bite.
Hidalgo went 1-9 this year, with their lone win against the Mighty Progreso Red Ants. So yeah, they play football. As for tackling, it doesn't seem like they do a very good job of it.
And @ XMan, yes, they play some very good "futbol" too. Hidalgo has won a State Championship in soccer at the (old) 4A level while they were still a 3A school.

I don't know about football, but I'll bet they make some good tacos and gorditas down there. Tarpon I don’t know about being a baboso, but I am el Gordo de Norte.

Sinton wins until they play real competition and lose in the state semi final every year.

Sadly, for Hidalgo, that would be a VAST improvement compared to the last two seasons.

That and also their All-Star Freshman QB, Shea Patterson, got recruited by Cavalry Baptist in Louisiana and he bolted as well. Pretty much left Hidalgo in a no-win situation.

Strange that they are still playing while most teams are onlookers at that point.

I got it worse, actually. I have a sister LIVING in Stephenville. SMDH
And @ P4S I was being sarcastic. I know very few, if any, on this site gives a rat's rectal cavity about Hidalgo. But an open job is an open job so I posted it.

Nobody is as bad as Brownwood folks when they thought they would dominate 3a. Then they shut up when they played a real football team from east texas.
