Looks like KState has played as vanilla as you could expect, and still they are in this game. UCLA has looked fairly impressive, but only lead on the scoreboard 17-6, and just happily gave up a field goal instead of a TD to the Wildcats. I'd hafta say this game is a long way from either team taking a dominant position. They say there's over 60,000 in attendance at the Alamodome tonight for this game.....that's a fairly hefty crowd. San Antonio usually supports games at the Dome pretty well. It is a major metropolitan city with over a million in population.

KState holds and forces a 3 and out here in the 2nd as UCLA will punt from their own end of the field. KState needs to mount another scoring drive on this possession to go into the half within a touchdown.

KState starts on their own 41 with 8:50 left in the 2nd. Lots of time left here in the first half still. Looks like KState is having trouble getting going. There's a 23 yd. reception on that pass down to the UCLA 35.

Uh-oh....UCLA's Jett intercepts that Waters pass on the 10 and returns it back to the KState 44. UCLA runs a triple option type offensive scheme with quite a bit of passing mixed in.

Bingo....TD Bruins on that long run as he broke it off tackle, cut to the sideline and outran the Wildcat D to the pylon. Now it's UCLA 24-6. Looked like the defensive secondary for KState there was caught out of position on that simple option handoff.

Normally a trip to San Antonio for the Alamobowl would be a fun one, but the weather this weekend in Texas is cold and dreary, as you know. I'm sure these teams are happy to be playing indoors, but the heck with the Riverwalk in this weather, haha.

After watching all the fireworks of TCU, Baylor, and Oregon yesterday.....the action in this game seems very methodical and mundane. I guess I've been spoiled by all those high school playoff games in Jerryworld, then the other Bowl games with TCU, Baylor, and Oregon. The Ohio State/Alabama game turned out to be a great watch also. Heck, even the Houston/Pitt game gave us some thrills at the end. Maybe this one will too.

Lockett just ran back the punt, but there's a flag on the play. Looks like it may be against KState. Holding against the Wildcats. Take the TD off the board, then tack on the penalty at the point of the foul. Now they start all the way at the 16 yd. line. Bill Snyder looked like he just took a shot of tequila, haha.

Pass is complete by Waters for a first. They need some kind of sustained scoring drive here badly. Right now it appears the Bruins are having their way.

2nd and 3 now as Waters fights for another firstdown. It was like a qb screen/run.

Completion to Lockett down to the Bruin 40, but now Waters is sacked at the 45. 2nd and 15 now for KState as they call a time out.

The UCLA Cheerleaders look yummy, though.

Okay here we go. 2nd and 17, but now UCLA takes a time out.

Waters is sacked and losses the ball as the Bruin pass rush had a safety blitz called that time and he got there untouched for the big sack and turnover.

Now UCLA has 50 seconds and 2 time outs left to score before the half.

3rd and 3 now form the Bruin 44. IN the shotgun, he hits Peyton for a completion and then runs it inside the 7 for a 37 yd. pickup. Now out of the shotgun, they convert an easy pass into the endzone for another Bruin TD. That should put the dagger into the heart of Bill Snyder and the Wildcats now. What a turnaround on the score as the Wildcats were driving. Now it's 31-6 and I wouldn't want to be in the Wildcat locker room at halftime, lol. What a bummer for them.
