Something I had never seen before. Twice LH was downed right at first down area. First time the official set ball where runner was downed then moved ball over to visitors side between hash marks and sideline then brought chains out to measure and showed first down. Second time this happened official set ball where runner was downed then moved ball to home side of field between hash marks and sideline then took chains across the field to measure which turned out to be first down. Why did they move ball from where the runner was down and hold it at the exact spot marked down but moved the ball across field and put it down to measure for first down ??????

Yep. What was up with that? We all thought that was bad officiating mechanics.

No they didn't call the ball short of the marker a 1st down. LOL!
