China Spring vs. La Vega, it was amazing to be a part of this game and is still the best game probably in Centex history.

I think the 1987 game between La Vega and Mcgregor should also be mentioned, also 88 and 89 games between Lorena and Mcgregor

For the Centex area that one is definitely one of the best. The Robinson/Palestine game the year before was pretty good too.

2010 Brownwood vs Carthage in the Semis .... that was pretty exciting as I listened on the internet. There was alot of talent on that field that night. I remember Carthage had a strong running back I think his name was Hollis or something that was going to the Air Force Academy! He carried them on his back that night with some strong tough runs.

One more was the State Championship game of 2006 between LH Panthers and Celina ....came down to a last minute drive by LH and a 32 yard field goal ...Great game even though we lost.

Very Special Game to me. I was in Iraq at the time and listened to it by a very bad internet connection at 3:00 am on a very cold morning in the desert. You should have heard the crowd noise over the radio feed when "The Hit" took place. As the radio announcer said "you could hear that hit in Iraq". It still gives me goose bumps when I listen to the radio call to this day.

I think the one everyone will remember is Vernon vs Southlake Carroll cannot remember what year that was but over 12,000 people saw it standing room only at Pennington Field.

1981 Region III Championship Cameron Vs Newton and Anthony Byerly at Katy's Tiger Stadium. Cameron jumps out to a 21-0 lead at halftime. Byerly goes nuts in second half to tie the score at 28-28 with 4 minutes left and leading penetrations 5-4. Cameron converts a 4th and 4 at the Newton 40 yard line then gets a 20 yard run on the next play to get 5th penetration and take lead in 1st Downs 18-15. Cameron burns the clock out for a win by kneeling 4 times inside the 5 yard line to keep Byerly from touching the ball again.

Cameron goes on and wins state by beating Gilmer 23-3 at Floyd Casey in Waco.

I was at this game, Liberty Hill had knocked us out in bi-district that year. I think it was the LH kicker's first FG of the year too........This was a great game, I just put ours in front of it since I played lol.

Thought the 92 season was the year Burnet beat both of those teams in the playoffs. Might have been the 91 season.

Great Game...... one of my top 2

The other... 1984 Daingerfield vs Gladewater in the quarterfinals..... 27-27 Daingerfield advanced due to penetrations. Back and forth game won by a blocked extra point.

We can talk about that one too. There was no hair on that game too. It was a dog fight to the end. Just the wrong team came out on top.

1992 Vernon Southlake is the greatest 3A game I've ever seen...I was 12 at the time but wow...

2001 Everman vs. Forney was out of this world also..

Both games were 11-0 vs. 11-0 if I remember...both were #1 vs. #2 in the state....both were at Pennington Field....both were overflow crowds with people standing on the sidelines 6 deep

An amazing game, definitely one of the best I've ever seen in person on any level.

Calallen vs. La Marque in the Astrodome, 1993 4A state semi...that was an epic. Both teams throwing haymakers (sometimes literally) all day long. LM scored on a 10 yd TD pass with 3 seconds left to win it 33-31. Bitter pill to swallow for us but a game no one who saw it or played/coached in it will ever forget.
