Bo Pelini, 46, fired at Nebraska after being hired in 2008 to turn the program around. Nebraska will payout the remainder of his contract, $7.65 million, in $150,000 a month installments until payed out.
I know the 7.68 mil caught my eye, but the $150,000 a month part sounded very enticing to just retire! That will be for 4.3 years, and he can supplement it with $1.4 mil per year with no reduction. That would add another $5 mill plus. He has kids are 15, 13, and 11. He bought his home in 2008 for $850,000.
Or another way to look at it - a salary of $500,000 per year for 18 years.... with your house probably already paid off and NO pressure.
I guess I was thinking consulting or broadcasting for 5 yrs at 1.5 mil.
