I think they may have played in the late 90s

thought maybe one year Kilgore beat Navasota and Jasper beat LCM to set up that matchup .

Van now knows who Dez Allen is. First Paris player to ever rush for over 2000 yards and throw for over 1000 in same season. Glad to say he's only a junior!

Sorry it was too early after a very late night. Should have said threw for over 2000 and rushed for over 1000 yards. My brain is still frozen from sitting at that game.

98 is when we played Kilgore at SFA. It was cold and wet.

94 or 95, we lost to Jasper in Humble after upsetting #1 Carthage.

I just checked. That was 95 . It was a Saturday afternoon game..

it's been so long....I was on the scouting crew that went to scout LCM/Jasper- drove all day to Natchitoches La. just as we got the intersection of where the stadium was we got the call that we lost and come on home.

Carthage was not #1 in Class 4A going into the game against Navasota in 1994. We were 8-2 that year going into playoffs and got beat 28-21 by the Rattlers. Only time the Dawgs were #1 was in 1992 and finished 9-1 that year missing the playoffs.
