I like the Hornets. It's good to see Caldwell back in hunt.

I was really glad when Caldwell hired Bobby Jack to be the head coach. I played with him back in high school. I knew that if people were patient with him that he would turn this program around. I'm very proud of this team. Expectations weren't all that high around here. We could very easily be 8-2 this year. I'm going to say that Caldwell wins this one on guts alone. They are scrappy and Chambers at running back is really hard to stop.

What type of offense are the Hornets running these days?

It's a pro style offense. They don't throw a whole lot. We like to keep it on the ground for the most part.

I did too. When they ran it correctly, it was a hard offense to stop.

Yes indeed. Those were some great Navasota/Caldwell battles. We couldn't seem to beat those Hornets.

There definitely were a couple of great games during that time.

Judging from our game with Caldwell I am not surprised that they won a close game with Giddings as they seemed equal in every way and pretty salty. I have not seen Sweeny play this year but they better bring their A game if they want to beat the Hornets.

I've seen both. Sweeny is a little more balanced on O than Caldwell. It will be tough for both. I'm going with Sweeny by 4 but won't consider it a shocker if Caldwell wins.

Really glad that Caldwell is back in the playoffs. I have met a lot of really good people from Caldwell over the years and it is like my second home. Pinkies up! Go Hornets!

OK Hornets you saw what Giddings did to Wharton last night so strap it on and go out there and kick a$$ and take names. Caldwell by 20.

Caldwell completes the 3-1 record of our district against theirs. Our bottom 2 may have been weak, but I feel with a very good 1 and a pretty good 2 and 3, our district was as competitive as it could be.

Caldwell losing this game was just as shocking as Smithville hanging with Bellville. Very confused.

I thought the momentum had changed and them bam. Sweeny gets it back.

I think the cold weather was a factor.

I'm not surprised at all. Sweeny got their starting RB back this week after missing district, right? ... Think he went for like 130 yds against Caldwell.

Yes Simmons had not played for the last month. We were also without one of our WR's.

You cant take Sweeny lightly. They have some talent. You have to stay on top of them for 4 quarters or they can bite you...
