Yoakum has the speed to score in bunches but for some reason they tend to
play in spurts and leave teams in the game. That don't work in playoffs and
they better get that out of there system. If they do they should be ok in this
game. Offense can be scary good but lacking on defense. If they can shore up
there defense could make a good run in playoff.

Yoakum needs to stay healthy and do what they do well...nothing is given in the playoffs and you have to end games when the opportunities present themselves. Letting teams hang around can get you beat.

If they play to there potential they will be OK. They were 31 points favorites
against Jourdanton and won by 7 points. Hopely they learned a lesson.

Raymondville is one of those teams you never know what kind of team will show up. Inconsistent is how I would describe their program.

Both play like that. Could be a good one. They don't stick to what works. Like they can't run a play more than once in a game. I see an OT game here.

I did some reading about the Raymondville team.....don't take them too lightly. I believe they will keep this game fairly tight and trade some scores for awhile....until Tre'von decides enough is enough, haha. I suspect things will start out like a boxing match...each team checking the other until one big play happens. Then the game will start. I"m with Pud for about a 21 point Yoakum win here in the end. But it could stay fairly close in the first half. I think Yoakum takes control in the 2nd half and extends its lead.

Their a scrappy bunch. From what I saw when they played RH a few weeks ago. They did beat King...the 16-4A DI district champ.

Raymondville, probably the biggest team we faced all year. Couple 2, 3 hogs over 300 lbs on OL. They wanted to mix it up after play's, Yoakum did good not taking the bait. Nice win, starters pulled after 3rd. Yoakum was able to use several RB's, and went 6-8 throwing for about 100 yards, TD.

GOD Speed to Raymondville's #1 who left late in 4th via ambulance. Was motionless for several minutes, but--I did notice movement and him talking as carted to medic unit.

Yoakum looked very sharp on offense.They have a very good offensive line and several fast RB
Tre'vonte Hights is outstanding with 2500 yds total offense for year.

Yes you did warn me SFiA. Just glad Yoakum maintained composure. No retaliation even considered. They continue with that discipline (just 6 penalties, and only 1 false start as I recall) and those receivers making the routine catches like they did, could give them that double threat we been waiting for all year.
