What is Wharton's high points, as it is all about match up for us. You guys and even Caldwell are a difficult match up for us, where as different style offenses than that we can manage a little better. Giddings has weapons and can score some points, need to know what Wharton's offensive scheme is all about. I haven't kept up with them much this year at all.

I hope Giddings wins this one.. True, Wharton was a closer game for the Gobblers but it was E A R L Y in the season.. I say this is a close one with the Buffs coming out on top...

Wharton has a pretty good team that can create a lot of problems for a defense if they are executing. If they limit mistakes they will beat Giddings. Giddings will need to play excellent defense and not give up the ball on turnovers to win. My pick is Wharton 35 Giddings 28.

I had Giddings by 7 in this match up. They are playing real good football now. WOS will be challenged next week in round 2. Good luck Buffs.

Giddings hung 39 legit points on the Leps so I know they have the offense. If they tighten up their defense like they did last night they definitely have a shot at knocking off WOS. It's all about the match ups and those two teams match up well. Good luck next week. Hey maybe we'll meet up again?

I am not arguing with you, but their qb did play, and didn't giddings play you guys to 4 points, or did you score one more time in the last minute or two?

Bellville is a difficult match up for us much like a Cuero or Caldwell. Wharton was fast, and athletic, but a better match up for us. I just remember our game with you guys being a lot closer than our game with Cuero. I would have ranked those losses of ours as Cuero then Bellville and last Caldwell in overall talent against us. Match ups are funny.

Then you have La Grange, which can cause a lot of match up problems with there better than average talent.

We won 35-21 over Giddings. Whartons QB got injured either late in the first half, or early in the 3rd quarter against us and thats when things started going our way. I am a Brahma fan to the core, but am not sure we would have pulled that one out if their QB played all 4 quarters. They missed a game winning field goal as time ran out to give us the W, 31-30. Wharton was tougher than Giddings for us, and that was without their starting QB.

Giddings played LG pretty well, so I am a believer in them being able to take down WOS. Giddings was just to much for Wharton, on to the next round.
