If any coach in the Big 12 can do it, he can. GO FROGS!! This should be a good one. Patterson vs Snyder....two wiley coyotes, haha. Let the game begin and come out firing on all cylinders.

It's been BIG SATURDAY today for Texas universities in college football today. TEXAS won against W. Va., BAYLOR won against OU; A&M won against Auburn. Can TCU win against KState and continue today's theme? I say YES!!!

The Horned Frogs kickoff and hold KState to a punt. Now TCU starts at their own 9 yd. line. They will need to get this ball out of their own end here to at least play some field position early.

3rd and 3 now for TCU from their own 47. Flags down on the run, which was stopped short of the first. Illegal formation....declined. TCU will punt it at midfield with 4th and 1.

First series by both teams results in punts deep in the other's end. KState will start on their own 20 now. The punt sailed into the end zone.

Boykin is lighting it up with the pass and the run now for TCU. Guess what? He hits 2 long passes perfectly down to the 2, then keeps it for the TD.

KState will now start from their own 25 with the kickoff out of the end zone. TCU needs a 3 and out here to establish their defensive dominance....but that will be a tall order. Just another stop and forced punt would be a win, win for TCU here.

TCU puts KState in a 3rd and 14 with pressure and a sack and hold on 3rd. KState punts it and it takes a big backward bounce to midfield. TCU will enjoy great field posiiton here starting on their own 42. There goes TCU for 9 yds on first down to midfield.

That option read Boykin and TCU is running has the KState D mesmerized in whether he will keep it or pass it. It's a show, folks....don't miss it. This is a very good offensive team. They should have won that game against Baylor, but that is history now.

BTW, TCU is now down inside the KState 15 in about 5 plays. They are threatening again.

regaleagle

Boykin fakes the handoff, pulls it back, fakes the run himself, backpeddles and hits the reciever in the end zone for a beautiful passing TD.

Lockett gets behind his D-back as Waters lays it out for a huge scoring pass play for KState. That one went about 70 yds. on 3rd down. That one was quick, and a big mistake by the TCU secondary. Lockett is a tremendous player for KState....their main weapon.

A full orange moon is hanging over Ft. Worth tonite. Those in attendance must be feeling eerily excited, but not sure why. The game is on....end of the first.

TCU has the ball the start the 2nd on their own 31, 2nd and 1. First down out to the 35 for TCU now. Boykin tries the right side for another 5 on first there.

regaleagle
11-08-2014, 08:28 PM
This looks to be a smashmouth defensive game that will have some big plays in it. Both teams are giving it an all-out effort so far....good game to watch.

KState D holds and forces the TCU punt. It settles just on top of the end line and KState will have it out on the 20 to start. Now we will see if the TCU D can get a stop against this Wildcat O.

TCU D holds and forces the KState punt. TCU will start deep in their own territory now. Looks to be about the 8 or 10 yd. line.

regaleagle
11-08-2014, 08:41 PM
Still 14-7 TCU here in the 2nd. It's the 15 yd. line and Boykin will launch one deep. He's got a man and the Wildcat D interfers. That's only a 15 yarder in college ball. Now TCU is on the 30.

regaleagle
11-08-2014, 08:43 PM
Boykin hits the pass for a first on 3rd and 9 out to the TCU 41. Good play there by TCU offense.

4th and 1 from the 49. the punt is downed on the KState 3 yd. line. The punt was kicked from about the TCU 40. Good kick there by the TCU punter.

regaleagle

Like I said before, a real defensive battle in progress here....with a chess match by both coaching staffs to get a breakthrough going.

regaleagle

TCU forced the punt, got the ball in good field position, and is now knocking on the door again. They are at the KState 7, short of the first by a inches, but it is 4th down. Should they kick the field goal, or go for the first? They will kick it and take the points with only 57 secs left in the half. Now Patterson calls a timeout before the kick to mull it over. Looks like he decided to give his kicker more time here. They will kick it. Now KState calls a time out to "ice" the kicker. No, TCU called that timeout again. BINGO, it's good.

Guess what? The kick is a squibbler that goes to Lockett down at the 5. He fields it, weaves in and out and finds an opening in the kick coverage. He takes it the distance for the TD, but KState is called for holding on the return. Nevertheless, you just have to keep the ball away from Lockett at all costs to win this game. BJ Catalon for TCU is not playing this week due to injury, and he is TCU's main rb/returner/weapon of mass destruction on offense that Boykin uses to offset his own capabilities.

regaleagle

TCU defense forces the punt and now TCU will kneel and go to the half. NOPE, they run it and flags are down. Holding on the offense. Halftime.

Regarding the LSU/BAMA game on the other channel, I'd like to see LSU beat THE TIDE in this one, wouldn't you? You would if you are a BIG 12 fan. Go LSU. It's 7-0 LSU right now in Death Valley. I hope it's death to the Crimson Tide tonite, haha.

TCU scores on the opening drive of the 2nd half as Boykin takes it in for another score.

Still over 9 mins. left in the 3rd an lots of football left out on Amon Carter field for the TCU Horned Toadies, haha. Looks like we have an open field runaway Toadie that takes one the distance here for the score off a jet sweep. He bobs, slides, weaves and outruns everybody to find paydirt. It was the junior Aaron Green out of San Antoinio. I Love Me some San Antonio and Aaron Green right now, haha.

Looks like Snyder of KState is opening things up now with Waters at qb. He's starting to throw it on just about every down now, and finding some open recievers. This doesn't bode too well for TCU, imo. Now TCU will have to pressure Waters more and maybe force a turnover.

TCU D stiffens and forces KState to punt at about midfield. The punt is hit from the KState 43 and downed on the TCU 11. Here comes Boykin back on the field for TCU. Another scoring drive here by TCU will definitely put the onus onto the Wildcats at this point. Come on TCU, let's get er done right now.

regaleagle
11-08-2014, 10:10 PM
No such luck. TCU punts it short to just about midfield and now must play tough D again. They do htthat and force another KState punt. KState player runs into the returner at the 7 for an interference penalty on a fair catch. This helps TCU and Boykin with the ball now at the TCU 25. I'm sure TCU will now start trying to just maintain possession with runs and short passes to run the clock and control the ball more.

regaleagle
11-08-2014, 10:12 PM
Yep....ol' Aaron Green breaks loose on another long run for 34 yds. He's dangerous in the open field . There he goes again gashing that KState defense with another first down run. Now TCU is at the KState 20 and threatening again.

regaleagle
11-08-2014, 10:13 PM
Boykin options it and TCU takes it 11 more yards down to the 9.

regaleagle
11-08-2014, 10:14 PM
It's been all on the ground here on this drive that started at the TCU 20, but now the Wildcat D has stiffened and its 3rd and goal from the 9. That's the end of the 3rd.

A TCU TD here would be great, but a score of any kind will make it tough sledding for KState here in the 4th. 3rd and goal from the 9 for TCU now. I think Boykin will fake the run, and pass it into the end zone. NOPE, he throws the fade and it is broken up on a jump ball in end zone. TCU will take the field goal. This one is from 26 yds. It's good!

Boykin puts the nail in the coffin with a nice 28 yd keeper on a fake to the rb and takes it in for the TD. He might also have just nailed down an invitation to New York for the Heisman vote.

Meanwhile, back in Death Valley is all tied up 10-10 in the LSU/BAMA game. 3rd quarter still with a little over 4 mins. left. LSU has the ball and just made a first down on 4th and one.

Ohio State/Mich. State is 28-24 OS with 8 mins. left in the 3rd.

I reckon they'll be celebrating in Ft. Worth tonite with some of those beautiful TCU honeys, huh? Kinda reminds me of back in the day when.....

TCU punts it and downs it on the KState 3 with 3 mins. left. The fans are starting to get anxious now with the full moon out. Patterson doesn't need to worry about becoming a werewolf tonite after the game. Looks like TCU will allow a long pass by KState on a loose TCU secondary. They will score another TD here. That won't make Patterson happy at all.

TCU 41
KState 20....TCU blocked the extra point.

Congrats to TCU and Gary Patterson on a very BIG win tonite in Fort Worth. Even without Catalon, TCU looked very dominating and impressive on both sides of the ball, esp. qb Trevon Boykin.
