Wylie captures eighth consecutive state title

COLLEGE STATION* It was a familiar scene Friday morning at Texas A&M's George P. Mitchell Tennis Center, where the Wylie tennis team celebrated its eighth consec*utive team tennis state title.
The top-ranked Bulldogs earned their 11th crown overall with a 10-4 victory over No. 2 Fredericksburg in the first year the UIL has governed team tennis for the state's third-largest classification. Wylie's other 10 championships were awarded by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association.
