Warning the following message is very Pudlike!

After a bye week the Leps meet the Cardinals for the second time this season. Bye weeks can be a mixed blessing as the players need to maintain their focus. Another worry is playing a team the second time after winning the first game. Coach Kates has as job one to get these players prepared for the intensity of the playoffs beginning Thursday night in Brenham against a Columbus team with nothing to lose. I probably worry too much as this team has shown the ability to perform to expectations all year and now it is for keeps. Go Leps!

This match-up won't be close. The off week gave the team time to rest and focus on the task at hand. The LEPS will continue to do what they do best. Cards can expect a good dose of #5 and #22. LEPS by 31 as Kates has proven he won't run up the score.

My Great Pyrenees dog Piers stuck his snout in my face at 6:03 this AM right on schedule. I got up went into the kitchen and gathered up the cat food and milk to feed the feral cat colony and 5 kittens living on our porches then made coffee for me and tea for Mrs. Pudlugger. Then I started a fire in the family room fireplace. After that I woke up Mrs. P got the dogs ready for their morning walk. After that I sat down to eat my diet breakfast bar and sip my coffee in front of the fire thankful that today is a wonderfully brisk fall morning and the first gameday in this year's playoffs. Life is good on the ranch. Go Leps!

Leopards rolled with the first team in the first half going up 35-0. The second and third team presaerved the shutout in the second half while the starters retired to the sidelines. The second O had another nice drive down to the 3 and fumbled on the one again just like last game against Salado. Oh well, they got some good playing time in and we go on to Orangefield next week. Dobbins was unstoppable. Leps really looked good after the bye week and are ready to rumble in the playoffs.

See you on Dec. 19 in Arlington, I hope.

Actually, I'll be watching on television, but maybe the cameras will pan to you. You need to have a big "Pudlugger" sign to hold up or something. ;)
