Defense should get some help with the return of DeMarcus Lawrence.

Looks like Romo is out....

Probably for the best, and that's truly not a Romo bash.
The Cowboys will need to be as healthy as possible to beat Arizona.

Sure hope Dustin Vaughan is ready should Weeden go down. I actually like him better than Weeden.

Best sports venue on the planet, Cool pictures

Cowboys should win. Big game for Weeden and his future.

Weeden is 31 and should be ready to go. He's has a big frame and is not slow. He likes to stay around the pocket and has a good arm. I look for him to do quite well, to be honest. I surely hope so. I think he will prove to be a really good backup quarterback in the NFL, but today we all will find out.

If the Texans had a good qb they'd be a much better club. Without a good qb in this league a team is relegated to middle of the road at best. Name a team with just a decent qb, not a good one, and tell me they will be a force in the playoffs.

FF, do you still think Weeden is as good as Romo? Or as capable as Romo? Do you think the Cowboys are as good with Weeden in there?

I guess now Dallas might realize why Cleveland released Weeden. He flunked out in baseball and flunked out in football. I bet he still cashes his check. Loser.

As long as Jerry and Romo are in Dallas , you are most likely correct. Lol

I never said Weeden was as good as Romo. There is a reason the Cowboys were able to get him as a backup. What I said was Weeden (or any avg. QB) could lead this cowboys teams to the same 8-8 record that Romo has. Weeden played a horrible game yesterday and it boggles the mind how inaccurate and ill prepared he was in this game. He threw 2 interceptions and went 18-33 for a total of 183 yards. He ended up with a QB rating of 55 or a Total QBR of 7!!!! Terrible, terrible, terrible! But let's remember he finished last week with 2 drives for 10 points and a 145 QB rating. Tony Romo was the one with a 16 Total QBR and couldn't hit a open receiver. I can't imagine Weeden would be getting the start again if he plays like that in another game down the road.

Any average qb wouldn't have come close to leading Dallas to an 8-8 record over the past few seasons. The only two losses Romo has had this year are because he wasn't 100% healthy when he played. Whether you want to agree or not, the numbers don't lie. He's been the most accurate QB this season and also leads the NFL in completions on third down. This is the first time in years that Dallas has had a running game and it's showed us that he may be one of the best qb's in the league when every game doesn't come down to him having to complete 40 passes a game.

I would honestly rather Romo sit out against Jacksonville and come back 100% healthy. That game would be a toss up without Romo playing and I could live with us being 6-4 with six games left. I'll take those chances because we'll also have Leary and Free back after the bye.

I found it quite irritating in this the game yesterday when the commentators kept referring to the Dallas O-line as the #1 offensive line in football. The facts were that it was 3 of the best 5 linemen that made up the best offensive line in football. Both Leary and Free were out with injuries. But I have to disagree with your above comments. I wouldn't expect Weeden to play this badly next week against Jax and the game certainly shouldn't be a "Toss up". And I wasn't referring to Romo this season. Although in could realistically argued that Romo's play in Game #1 (19 Total QB rating) and again against the Redskins (16 Total QB) were the sole reason the team didn't get those wins. In fact, Brandon Weeden had a 7 QBR yesterday. In his career Romo has had 16 games with a QBR less than 20. 13 of those games were against NFC opponents and 9 were in his own division with playoff contention on the line. (5 against the Eagles alone)!!!! You can double that number of games where Romo was under 40 QBR. In games played in the playoffs or in his own division with the division championship on the line or a wildcard berth Tony Romo has a career 28 Total QBR....................................... He has been below average in 8 out of 10 games! Brandon Weeden isn't any better but let's not pretend Weeden yesterday was a huge step backwards from Romo the week before.................

Yea, You would think at his age and his maturity level he would have been better prepared. Not only was he not very accurate but he wasn't even on the same page with the receivers a lot of the time. His throws to the back shoulder of Dez was not even close most of the time. He basically had 1 good throw to Dez that i saw in the entire game. I also saw probably 5 plays on 3rd down where the receiver or the back got tackled less than a yard short of the 1st down. I didn't see much fight in the Cowboys when they did catch the ball. One time Jason Witten got tackled 2 feet short of a 1st by a d-back who was 50 lbs lighter than Jason.......................Murray had some really tough runs but at other times he seemed to just fall down because it appeared he expected to get hit. How about Dunbar on the long run where he should have cut it back inside and taken it to the endzone but it seemed like he was more worried about getting hit from behind. Nobody should tackle Lance Dunbar in the open field but for some reason he just ran into the defender..................
