Maybe they should start a propaganda thread.

Only one on here and he's kinda quiet. I think they got something working over there. Just don't know if its going to be enough. Region one looks to have several good teams in D1. Kinda like SEC west. They just keep knocking each other off.

Van will advance to a game against Argyle, then Argyle will name its score, as usual.

The good news, now that I looked up the brackets, is this means the Vandals can make it all the way to Round Four.

6 of the D2 teams are in region 3, am I seeing that correct?

Yes, Van will end up being ranked ahead of at least two of the Region 1 teams ranked ahead of them now, imo. They've done all they can against their schedule, obviously.

No love for Van as they have 4 two loss teams ranked ahead of them.

Come on, they're ranked 10th and they have played a pitiful schedule.

Every one of those two-loss teams has played great teams, frequently each other.

Well they did pick us to finish 3rd in our district.

When two of the other Region 1 teams get knocked off and Van is still playing....then they're ranking will move ahead of those two(maybe).

Their schedule is terrible. Makes it hard to measure them really. I know they are good, but they'll get a game or two in the playoffs.

Interesting how navasota's district is made up of several inner-city Houston teams as Argyle's is made up of several inner-city Dallas teams. Neither gets tested against the inner-cities in their district. Kudos to the Argyle staff for scheduling solid non-district competition. If Argyle gets through Sanger they will have beaten Wylie, 5A Denison, Celina, Graham, Paris, Ranchview, and Sanger. Pretty decent.

I would call Carrollton Ranchview a VERY dangerous team in the playoffs. Paris probably the same.

Van's schedule is not tough but I wouldn't call it pitiful. They did beat a good Athens team that beat Robinson and a Lindale team that beat Chapel Hill. Also going into the season nobody thought Palestine was going to be horrible and 9 of the 10 teams on our schedule have larger enrollments than Van. All the teams they should have beat they beat badly. That's all they could do given who they've played.

I agree with Ranchview 100%. Anybody that plays them better tackle well and keep everything in front of them. Ranchview has a lot of firepower on offense.

Not that rankings even matter but just because you're undefeated doesn't mean anything at this point. 9 of the 10 opponents WOS played have already qualified for the playoffs with only 2 opponents having losing records. Both losses came at the hands of other DCTF ranked teams and one win was over another DCTF ranked team. IMO I'd put us ahead of LaMarque at this point easily.

From what I've read and seen of the clips, looks like the Mustangs are a darn good football team.

Just making the playoffs now day's mean nothing. Isn't Hou Scartissue going, at 0-10? Too watered down UIL.

THE 3 teams highlighted are the teams nobody wants to see in their bracket, the first 2 for obvious reasons, Graham..because they will bring it..every single play..the rest have their weaknesses that can and will get exposed, its whether or not they can rise above them..some will, some will not!

I can't believe a team like Sweetwater is not listed in the Top 10 with the schedule they have played and being 9-0. Watch out for Sweetwater as they have a fine team with alot of speed in all positions and play a very sound game. I am a Monahans Loboes fan but am just keeping it real. Sweetwater Mustangs are back this year. Good to see it as it makes our District proud.

The way I see it is that thee are at least 8 teams in Division 1 that may have the chance to win it all. Teams like Navasota and Argyle will be facing teams that have the personnel and coaching to be able to pull off upsets after about two rounds in the playoffs. There are a lot of teams that are scary to match up with like AW, Big Spring, Stephenville, Graham, West Columbia, and LaVernia. And don't forget the teams that will be making the playoffs that may have had a bad start to the season, but are now playing pretty well like Carthage. There are just too many things that can happen to change the whole picture. I like the path that Navasota seems to have toward Jerry's World, but it won't be a cakewalk. I expect that after the second round of the playoffs there will be a battle every week with teams that are capable of beating anyone on any given week.

In Division 2, it looks like Gilmer and LaGrange are the cream of the crop. However, there are several pretty damn good teams that may step up and shock some folks. Don't ever count out WOS, LaMarque, Celina or Coldspring. Gilmer and LaGrange look to be on a collision course but both better have the a-game going every week because there are some upsets gonna happen this year.

I throw Cuero and Sinton as those to watch out for in D2. Of course, they are R4, and based on rankings, no one else respects them. They appear to have things lined out and finely healthy. I would not want to play them.
